Lose It! is going good. I've lost 5 pounds. I eat 1,767 calories a day except on Saturday and Sunday when I eat 2,065. I'm not eating any differently besides the no meat thing. It just works.

Two personal training sessions this week, on Tue and on Thu. My muscles feel pleasantly sore.

Before yesterday's session, a recumbent bike warm-up for 16 minutes on lowest resistance.

Today I plan to go to Orangetheory.

I went to Orangetheory fitness in the morning because we were off work.

15 splat points
132 average HR
153 peak HR

I see the numbers are lower than last time and I did not feel as nearly as tired. Either because this time the workout was in the morning and I was well slept, or because I focused on high incline as instructed by the trainer and only once did high speed (4 mph). Apparently high incline, while hard on the legs, does not make my heart rate go up as nearly as much as high speed. Good to know. But I also did floor exercises with dumbbells until muscle failure, so overall it was a very good workout.

In the evening I did Yin yoga. In one pose, we had to bend sideways while lying on the floor. And my arm instantly reached my knee while the yoga teacher was saying "if you are flexible enough and can reach your knee...". And then I had an insight. The reason I no longer can do so many poses I used to be able to, even though I am hyperflexible, is because my belly is simply in the way. I cannot do the kind of forward bend other class participants are doing because of the belly. But sideways, sure, I can bend sideways no problem.

My new personal trainer said when he did the intake and I told him about being hyperflexible but not being able to do yoga poses anymore that hyperflexibibility, in terms of what joints can do, is pretty much for life, but I might have developed muscle stiffness which gets in the way of doing poses. this may be the case, but I think the simplest reason is mechanical: one cannot bend well over the belly. One just can't.

I'm giving up on being a vegetarian. I've done it since October 2nd and all it seems to have done is mess with my anxiety and depression and cause food restrction. I can't think of much help its been.

So I just ate a burger. My first time eating meat. And I don't know how to feel. It defiently tasted odd. But I feel ok I guess. Maybe I should have started at something smaller than a burger.. but I feel like I've actually eaten for the first time all month.

I think you should eat meat then, and other animal products, but not burgers or at least not only burgers. Last time I was a vegetarian, and I really think it was the very last time, I came out of it, when I realized it was not for me and had caused anemia, with lamb chops. So satisfying!

Went to Orangetheory fitness in the morning thanks to having a good night of sleep.

375
CALORIES BURNED

17
SPLAT POINTS

125
AVG. HEART-RATE

Peak HR: 149

Today, I did the sequence of treadmill first, then rowers alternating with squats with a medicine ball, then 14 minutes of floor exercises with weights, then stretches. Some of the floor exercises were so difficult that I could not do them at all, but I went all out on the ones I could do. So far this is the highest number of splat points per workout.

I’m still not motivated to exercise, but strangely my weight stayed stable over Christmas despite eating a lot of unhealthy stuff - it’s not good for me over all though and so I’m going to aim to introduce a better intake.

Today I had salmon, rice and vegetables for tea, one of my favourite healthy options. It’s a step in the right direction.

Lol it’s the tea instead of dinner right? I’m also Northern so we do have tea instead of dinner or supper.

yes, tea instead of dinner OR supper

Tangentially related: I actually love the word supper. I learned British English as a child and adolescent and when I moved to Texas at age 21, I was so sorry to see that American English was so different from the British that I had learned, but eventually I adjusted. One word I still miss is supper.

Oh gosh, I didn’t know that supper wasn’t a thing stateside?

On the same tangent you might know supper can be a formal dinner later at night or just an informal snack.

I was raised in the north central states and supper was pretty much the main evening meal. Dinner was a more formal affair. Pop was soda.

There is so much variation stateside. I should not speak for the whole country. I have only lived in Texas, Cali, New York.

41 mins recumbent bike, varying resistance levels

followed by

75 mins of restorative yoga. Loved the twists today!

***

I had a funny moment on the recumbent bike. I selected one of those RunTV rides where you are a shown a simulation ride through an interesting terrain. Today I picked snowcapped mountains in New Zealand. I started on a two-sided road but I was on its wrong side. What's going on? Why on the wrong side?! It took me a couple of seconds to process what I saw to realize that in New Zealand, they drive on the left side of the road. I have never been to England, Australia, New Zealand, etc. Today was my first time pretend playing.

I've kind of just given up trying to use the bathroom. I know thats dangerous but I take 3 colace a day and drink a lot of water and if I do anymore then that I get severe stomach pains and explosive diarrhea and sometimes in my sleep and I refuse to wear Depends when I'm only 30.

Today I've been low on calories but whatever

3 colace a day?? Why aren't you on Miralax? Much more effective and completely safe, being an inert substance.

I was looking up VR videos on Youtube and because google spys on you I got this ad about this womens mother who was so constipated they had to surgical remove piles and piles of poop. She had tried everything without any luck.

I just feel like crap. Yeah both physically and literally. I need to eat better. My weight is going nowhere and my VR headset isnt turning on. I had planned on working out with the game Beat Sabers.

Some teacher in high school told me you can die of constipation. Idk when its too much and I should do something.

People have died of constipation caused by Clozapine.

Which doctor is monitoring you?

I'm not on clozapine. I see a GI doctor and a primary doctor who deal with this.

I'm going to try some Elax chocolate laxatives.
