I can see it on the west coast but kind of disappointing so far

Just a sliver left but little sign of "redness"

Also, an iPhone does not take great moon shots.
Thanks for this!

I think it is supposed to be most noticeable around 3-4:00a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
The news was saying it is most visible on the West Coast in the states. I wonder how true that is. I will check around that time and report back.

Mars looks effing awesome! It's the closest it has been since 2008...I think I'm more excited about that than the "blood moon".

I did, it was very disappointing. Grey cloudy mess.

Rainy day, kind of chilly. I have a few things to do, but hoping for a day at home. I need to put together a few Easter baskets.

I never had potato pancakes until I was grown.
We used to eat creamed tuna on waffles and plain spaghetti with butter on fridays

I'm home from work today. My Y son has this week off from school but my sitter got sick yesterday so I took off today. Its super cloudy today so I check the weather and its 100% chance of rain..thunderstorms and wind ..so I guess I won't be working in the yard today....

I'm hoping its just the weather.... feel like crawling back into bed, covering my head and crying....

Guess I'll continue with the decluttering of my house today...

Feeling pretty down on myself today. Having a hard time not beating myself up. I have been working really hard to get healthier physically...change in eating habits, started exercising, etc but I blew it all up big time this last month or so. I can't believe it...how stupid can I be to start eating refined sugar again. Absolutely TERRIBLE!! I must be the stupidest person on earth! I as doing so good and I blew it to pieces!

Sorry for the rant...I'll leave now.

Melissa....try not to be so hard on yourself. Refined sugar is an addiction, you eat a little and then you crave it. I am really health-food conscious, and even I have my moments. Instead of beating yourself up, grab a jar of honey and switch, then slowly lower the amount and get yourself back on track. You can do it.

M81-or you could forgive yourself and go back to not eating refined sugar.

I made waffles this morning with leftover brown rice pudding (an attempt to salvage some extremely bad brown rice i screwed up), baking powder, kefir, eggs, olive oil, sprouted whole wheat flour and ground flax seed. I make a syrup with honey and bragg liquid aminos. Quite tasty and not nearly as heavy as I had expected. Adding the baking powder really helps. I like to use up leftover grain by putting them in waffles which I freeze and then have a quick and easy breakfast. I often put peanut butter on them instead of my syrup mixture.

That really sounds interesting, Stopdog. I once grew wheat. I decided to make bread from "scratch" (was going to do "meat" but the idea of killing rabbits or chickens, etc. I went for bread instead). Just getting a little bit of wheat was a trip; nobody had small amounts of seed; Nebraska, I think it was, wanted to deliver me a half pallet by truck. One New Hampshire seed company said wheat could not grow in Maryland (my husband laughed at that and asked had anyone told Ohio that when the colonies were being settled; I later did my history thesis on my Maryland county, which has wheat sheaves on its flag, it was "saved" by wheat since tobacco was wrecking its soil). I finally found a small enough quantity from California, I should have figured that? I was going to go to the Chesapeake Bay and get water to evaporate for the salt, had a huge sugar maple in my yard the neighbor had tapped before, etc. but got stuck when I tried to "gather" wild yeast from the air in my kitchen :-( My little 4 foot x 4 foot wheat "field" did well though (nothing happened at first, I did not realize that winter wheat took the "season" before coming up the next Spring) but I also couldn't see myself separating wheat from chaff, grinding, etc. so other than a few heads I ate from the plants while standing there in the yard, the squirrels got it all and loved it.

Perna- that sounds quite interesting. I am not much of a farmer or even little plant grower, but I have wanted to mill my own flours from grain. I would love to have a small stone mill. And we talked about growing our own everything (meat) once too, but it soon became apparent we would simply have had a bunch of outdoor pets as neither me nor my partner would ever be able to do the slaughtering ourselves or allow anyone else to touch the animals we had.

Mills are so expensive, another reason I gave up at that time (mid-90s): Country Living Grain Mill I couldn't see spending $500 on a single loaf of bread?

Lol! Its the ONE thing in english that is as it sounds - sometimes! There is a thread here on using the wrong word like there theyre their - but word division, now made worse by computer printed journalism, will drive me mad.

Thats why in the olden times they had just the one common mill for use by the whole village. That is like the only historical fact i know and i am pretty proud of it
