So, I am sitting waiting for my appointment for t.. And I can hear my t and one of his receptionist (t is one of the bosses) and they are talking about an office issues with office manger not doing her job.. I can hear the whole conversation because their music isn't on. Very irresponsible... I should say something right?

I'd probably say something. But then I give my T hell on a regular basis

Starting early with the wine tonight.

I think I'm supposed to be worried about myself right now.

I doubt I would say anything, but I'm non-confrontational. This doesn't occur where I go since it is a large practice so I'm not sure how I would respond if it ever did happen.

Good luck with your session.

I would not mention it - it is none of my business. I would talk about lateness if it was common or if it cut the time I pay for short.

Is self contempt the same as self hatred? My T was trying to explain the difference he was saying hatred was a part of contempt then proceeded to appear to use the two interchangeably. Dictionaries are useless as they just give a definition. I want the emotional component i think. I dont know what i want from this post but thanks for reading.

One small problem. It can't bear the weight of my (ancient) donated tv... I have no idea what to do with that thing. As well as being too heavy for the stand I can't use it because I don't have cable and it's too old to connect to my laptop. And it's too heavy for me to get it out of the apartment and down the stairs.

My moms tv is like that. I "redecorated" the living room one time while she was out of town and almost killed myself moving the darn thing. It would be lighter if it was a flintstones tv!!

watching a show on the history channel about how mankind might never have happened at all if the asteroid had missed the earth all those millions of years ago.

and then the human species could have died out if the original tribe never got out of africa.

I have never heard much of this before. i wonder if they are just making some of it up as they go along.

If I remember rightly the theory on the asteroid was that it allowed mammalian life to flourish, filling the gap left behind by the extinction of the big dinos. Pre-extinction mammals were small, burrow-dwelling creatures, and of course, they were warm blooded, giving them an advantage over cold blooded dinosaurs in the colder climate of the new Earth. Though, of course, there is disagreement on the reptilian nature of the dinosaurs too... Some of them at least were more bird-like... They had feathers... Read this really interesting book on how you could in theory 'grow' a dinosaur from a chicken's egg with a little genetic modification there a while back...

Never heard of the out of Africa part, but it makes sense. Leaving behind the warmer climate and more favorable ecosystem meant that genes for innovation and creativity were selected for, allowing for the devopment of a species of smartasses, as Hankster might say.

It's more important that you work out how you feel than that you use the right word for it.

This is nonsense. There are plenty of tribes that stayed in Africa and live there to this very day.

I don't think Oprah would agree with this.

I'm blown away that turtles are more closely related to birds than other reptiles.
