Well, the original tribe wasn't human, but a human ancestor. Evolutionary change happens incrementally. Human ancestors had to be faced with existential challenges, for want of a better word, to develop large, problem solving, tool using brains. We would not have become the thinking, feeling animals that we are if survival hadn't depended on it.

You feel all powerful not being attached to anyone, making everyone in your life dispensable.. but then you realize how lonely that makes you feel when you're alone and that some people can sense this and in a way you feel replaceable to them as well.... karma.

Are you saying the modern Africans are descended from tribes that went to Europe and then came back to Africa?

No. Evolutionary development is not my speciality, but AFAIK, the current theory is that the 'original' ancestor would have been a very small, localized tribe of humanoids... They wouldn't have moved very far... But over millions of years...
The first modern humans are believed to have come from East Africa. But I'm not talking modern humans here.

Getting all the family plans organized. My future daughter-in-law is coming over to watch Outlander tonight. Can't wait!! Tomorrow we have two church services to sing at, then all are coming for lunch: German sausage, sweet rice, and green bean casserole -- everyone's favorites. Yummy.

Spent the morning cleaning. WAY overdue.

So, I just made plans to sit down with my mom on Monday and talk.. I will be disclosing the CSA that she has no clue about. I am a littler nervous, but it feels right, and about time...

Yeah that's part of why I questioned if they were making it up as they went.

So, I was browsing womens' meetup groups because, well, Ineedalifealready and suddenly I find myself in a fit of panic at the infinitely tiny chance of running into previous T or T's wife. WTF is wrong with me?! I don't want to hide in my house forever!!

Freakin' anxiety... Grrrr.
I have two sort of sickish kids. One is making his threatening-dehydration gurgling slurpy noises - he threw up a bit last night and had diarrhea. The other has a super runny nose. They both better be alright by Monday. I missed too much work last week...
Well, off to do laundry and pour some fluids into sick(ish) child...

I'm hyped up on caffeine. Two cups of coffee and a 44oz (very little ice) diet Dr. Pepper.

I'm boiling potatoes to make mashed potatoes. I bought IKEA cream sauce. I also have meatballs in the freezer. And I bought some of their ligonberry whatever.

I just really want meatballs and potatoes. And the other stuff tastes good too.

Laundry's just about done, last load in, yeah! Well, it's not put away yet. Heh. Folded in the baskets. I consider that "done enough". Hubby will put it away when he gets home from his fantasy baseball draft. It's funny, I can't get him to do anything else around the house, but he cannot stand to see a basket of folded clean clothes, and is compelled to put it away. So I ensure to allow him the luxury every time I do laundry. Heh. I guess I do possess some wily qualities, after all! tee hee.

Baked a red velvet cake earlier, yum.

Thanks for the idea nowhere, I'm going to get a bag of potatoes and make myself some mashies too!! And probably some broccoli or cauliflower, not sure which yet, will decide when I see which one looks the best. Off to the grocery store with me. Later couchies!

I was just putting my kid's Easter baskets together and I moment when I thought to myself.. I am glad that I am here right now, to put these baskets together for my kids. They don't get a whole lot in their baskets, but I know they will be excited about them tomorrow. Just something positive for me to think about in the midst of the hell I have been going through the last couple of weeks.

Waiting to see if quinoa will cook if you add it into a soup at the end. I want it to be more stew like without having to wash another pan. Sewing, i like. There is nothing i dont like about hand sewing. I like the process, i like the results. With cooking, i tend to panic at some point, or feel bad about how slow i am. That is definitely the evil introject i.e. mom. Sewing i used to do with my dad or by myself, never with my mother.

Also - watching vintage SNL - host johnny cash

Eta - quinoa worked. Soup good.
