Hi Squirrel!

I am reminded years ago (in dinosaur days) when I was a teenage volunteer- a candy striper- at a hospital pharmacy....They had me handling and counting medications that had been returned from the floors for patient credit. I bet that is a big "no-no" nowadays, isn't it?

Squirrel,

I think the letter to new T is a good idea.

That would be difficult to change from having so much available contact with PrevT to little outside session contact with current t. :/

My T is 68 and I fear her retirement, too.
Thanks for this!

Hey squirrel - have you tried meetup.com? There are people hiking and biking and going to movies and drinking and all kindsa stuff like that around here. If anything maybe itll give you ideas for stuff to do. It seems like your work life is set if you want it to be; where you live is okay for now; now to figure out how to have fun - how to really live. Thats why they try to rush young women into having kids - as my former mother in law said, it gives you something to do life is very weird.
Thanks for this!

I second the recommendation for meetup.com, I found the drumming group I hang out with on there. They have become like my soul-family in the like 2 years I've been hanging out with them.
Thanks for this!

I just need somewhere to rant because I can't rant anywhere else. So feel free to ignore. I am so fed up with this particular person at work who got promoted recently, the same promotion that I didn't get, that I had been handling pretty well but the more I see of what this person posts on facebook, the more fed up i get that she got the promotion and i didn't. She plasters all over her facebook page about where she works, and right along side that, photos of herself in her underwear, posts about "F--k work" (but she spells it out) and stuff like that, ALL THE TIME, how do they not see this?! Why is it fair that SHE can act like that and get promoted for it, and I never put stuff like that on facebook and I don't even say that I work there on facebook because I have some friends who post questionable stuff sometimes and I don't want that stuff to be associated with where I work yet I don't get promoted. I'm just feeling sorry for myself I guess. I feel like crying right now because today was such a rough day, crazy busy back-to-back calls ALL day, and SHE posted on facebook about how her damn internet connection was down (she works at home) and "I"m sitting here doing nothing haha" this is who they promote?! wtf? I work my butt off and get passed over every time. Whatever. I am bigger than this and I know it, I am just taking it hard right now becuase I am so tired after today, I just wanted to get it off my chest, back to regularly scheduled shenanigans.

Report her Art. Print out some of her posts and drop it off anonymously in a boss's mailbox maybe.

Shortly before I left my old job a few of the managers got in a boatload of trouble because they were badmouthing the company on the plane while on a business trip and a random passenger called corporate office and reported them.

Maybe a few email links sent to upper management might do the job...

T told me yesterday that his son will be working at his office over the summer. He said he has grilled him on confidentiality, and that he will see people that he knows at the office. However, I am not sure T has told him that he will see people that he knows and that he (his father) is their T.. Like me. I trust his son, I don't think he will go blabbing about seeing me at the office. And- I won't be working at his school next year anyways.. Its just a weird situation. I think this is something that T and I will need to talk a little more about.

Healed-that would piss me off. And be, I think, a great concern as well as very very wrong for the therapist to do. It would not work at all for me. I hope talking through it more helps.

May I encourage you to be as loud as you like? We have been keeping quiet and not making waves our entire lives. Sometimes a nice tantrum really gets the kinks out Couch 95: No title required!

Morning, couch. Long night. Mister is here which is serving both as a distraction but he's oft times quite triggering. He doesn't know it but it's more than usual. Tricky. Life. Gah.

Hope the weekend is going well for everyone.

Mast, let it out. Of course I say that but I never would. (((mast))) I would imagine it'd feel good to do so though.

stopdog - no, I did not try to respond. I can't respond, that's the problem (and the problem is with me, nobody else.)

I have no emotions today. T said I could show a little bit of them and that would be okay, I think she misunderstood. I've never felt nothing. I have nothing to show. Sigh.

Yep, big no-no now. You have to be registered with your state and pass a background and drug test
