Yay!! Don't ever feel bad for venting in here. I am SO glad you and you're friend are back on good terms. Did you talk about what you were feeling last time, like you were too much for him?

Is it just me, or do students all look the same these days? My aging, my eyes, or a genuine phenomenon?
Thanks for this!

Students often look alike to me - but I don't think it is a new thing. It is worse when they are all wearing blue or grey suits - I can't tell who any of them are when they are dressed like lawyers.

Agh i am so stressed at work today. Nothing but crap calls and mean people and i need to just breathe and stop thinking about everything so much. I bought a turkey sandwich for lunch and am focusing on the delicious taste and trying to calm down. Mainly the stress is from my boss "get out of ACW!" or that call is too long or whatever I'm on a project she knows nothing about so she needs to get out of my face before i go home sick. Argh.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Husband signed himself up for a bi-weekly activity, I was happy for him - plus it gets him out of the house and I could be alone and I was so excited. Then....

He brought me into it so now I have to go and I don't want to. At all. It'll be distressing and I don't want to do it but he doesn't hear me. It's frustrating.

I'm sorry, Ellahmae. My h drags me into stuff with his friends sometimes when being home alone is what i need most. Last time he did it i threw a fit because none of the other adults would take turns supervising the kids in the pool. He hasn't made me go since then. Hmmm. Maybe i was onto something.

This is an ongoing thing every 2 weeks. I'm going to try talking to him about it when I get home but I'm pretty sure it's going to end with him pouting and me feeling worse about myself and falling back down into crisis mode. I texted T about what to do and I hope she sees it in between sessions. Cause I don't know what to do. I really don't.

Back from the lawyer. Being stalked is just as much fun as I always thought it would be.

Yes, we did talk briefly about that, and I told him how I had been reasoning around that, over the summer. There is nobody else in my real life I could possibly have that kind of conversation with, so I'm really lucky to know him. He is also the only person I know in RL who is in therapy so it's always interesting to compare T experiences.
Thanks for this!

EM, that sucks. I have a sort of similar experience and it's really hard to deal with. I hope your T gets back to you.

@@, ack. I'm sorry to hear that.

Art, I also had a crappy day between callers being nasty and new policy making me question 5 years experience and supervisor not having my back. At the end of the day I was thinking longingly about a drink and a smoke, both of which I abstain from. Hope you're feeling better now!

I'm glad. Did HE think you were being "too much?" or was it you who thought so....?

(seriously, just wondering)

Yup. Should just keep my mouth shut. Stop trying to find out who I am and just do what others want and expect. That's my purpose. Nothing more. Everything less. I'm not a person. No point anymore.

Sending safe hugs to you Ellahmae. I'm sorry things are so rough right now. You ARE a person, you are worth listening to, and I'm sorry you're not being heard.

Why would one do that? Others don't get to dictate to you whether you are a person or not - their response to what you choose to do or not do is their problem - not yours.
