Hungry but lazy, so eating leftover pollo fundido from Thursday night's dinner out. Not horrible but would have been terrific fresh. I was hurting too much, stayed behind while the kids went. Beginning to think I might need medical attention for my back, yet still fighting the idea of MRI, PT, possibly surgery. Not feasible at this time.

Got forgiven for taking away the best toy ever, she was winding around my ankles while I cleaned the bathroom. She really is sweet!

Happy Saturday couch.

hey couch. well i went to t this morning despite not wanting to. We talked about the emails and I told her about telling h all the J stuff that has come up recently and how well that conversation with him went. She has a table in there now that wasn't before, like a little coffee table in front of the couch, in one way I didn't like it because it was a solid "thing" between us, I liked how before there was just the little round table thing sort of between us but off to the side. I started to say that to her, but then I realized that I was oddly drawn to the table at the same time, so that is what I told her, and then she told me about the table, that its actually a bench, that was made out of trees in I think she said her grandparent's backyard (?) and it's been hers since she was a little girl, she said she used to climb up on it, stand on it and would just know that she could fly, and she'd jump off expecting to fly but kept finding out of course that she couldn't. It was a sweet story, and as she told the story I knew that it was the innocent child-like energy I was feeling that drew me to it, and I like it being there. Because it's more of her being present in the room. Sappy, yes. But, oh well. That's me, I guess. We talked more about my grandma, I told her about my charm bracelet that I had intended to bring with me today but forgot (my grandma gave it to me a long, long time ago) and some other stuff. I got a little emotional and cried a little talking about my grandma but all in all it wasn't a heavy session or anything, and I'm glad I didn't cancel.
Thanks for this!

Oh yeah. T called me a "spiritual warrior" today, she said because I keep coming back, keep doing the hard work. I am a little embarrassed to admit it, but it made me feel good her calling me that. I kinda like it.
Thanks for this!

Some warrior, though..... I'm sitting here now, trying to get the nerve up to call and make an appointment to get a deep tissue massage, but all's I'm actually doing is playing a facebook game and hanging out on the couch. I'm even wearing my butterfly earrings today, and still can't make myself call.

I'm signed up for only the second massage of my life on Monday. 90 minutes. I'm already dreading it. But if I can do it with my aversion to touch, you can totally do it!

Thank you for sharing! After reading that, I took a deep breath and called and made an appointment for my first one ever. I'm going tomorrow morning at 10! T will be proud of me. We talked about that this morning too, that I hadn't done it yet, and I wrote my intention in my notebook to call and schedule it, and she said as I left that I should email her after I go that she wants to hear how it went.
Thanks for this!

My son is currently making chicken enchiladas with red sauce. The smells coming out of my kitchen right now are fabulous!! He got a wild hair and decided he wanted to learn how to make them, so he found a recipe and went to the store for the ingredients, and now my house smells like a mexican restaurant! Yum!!
Thanks for this!

Downton Abbey marathon on pbs pledge drive. Im watching, and during commercials im cleaning house, staying on my diet, exercising, reading, and in general being a bum. I like the early seasons SO much better. Esp now when tiny little scenes happen and i actually understand how they fit in. Im not so much - when did she tell him? I musta gone to the bathroom?!

And really especially after seeing bunyips red dot's ab fab take on it - omg! "I have knitted hair!"

How is cleaning and exercising being a bum?

I'm trying to put together an Ikea bedframe.

Happy weekend couch!!! I'm trying not to waste it playing Pokemon go. I have to clean house pay bills organize. Grocery shopping tomorrow.
I joined a lunchtime work group of people who knit or crochet stuff for charity. I only just learned to single crochet but I signed up anyways to make a scarf for a shelter drive in December. Gotta get crackin

That's a good idea, the lunchtime work group crocheting for charity. I think I may start one at my work! Once you have learned single crochet, you'll master double, half-double, and treble in no time! And then you'll be doing shells, etc!
Thanks for this!

Just cheer me on. I lost heart and took a break when I realized there were fifty of one screw and I'd only used 16 of them so far.

I want very badly to do a hexagon honeycomb pattern afghan!!! Gotta walk before I can run!! I'm enjoying the group because it helps me meet people outside my department and those ladies have mad skills. Always someone willing to teach me!!! My first project was just to connect squares in a baby blanket and make a crochet edge even though someone else knit those squares

Here's a doily I made a couple years ago. I'm trying to get in the mood to crochet again, t thinks it would be a good way to work through the feelings that have come up recently about my grandma, I think I may give it a try. Looking at things I've made in the past inspires me. I told t that I hadn't been crocheting lately because I thought it might make these feelings more intense, but she thinks it will help me to work through them.
