I just wanna say that triangulation stuff is the Norm in many Asian families. Not sure if that's healthy or not.

I think Art's son feels unsafe talking to his father and I can see why. I don't know what I'd do though.

Art, I care for my younger brother like you worry about your son. I feel like I want to protect him from everything, soothe his hurts etc. Maybe you can step back mentally and still be a supportive base for your son to touch base with, without pressuring yourself to fix everything as though it's ALL your responsibility and not a team effort. I think your H needs to step the eff up but I had parents who didn't care when my siblings and me were suicidal and messed up so I'm biased.

that is impressive, and disgusting.

aww, she is so cute! My little kitten is named Penny too <3

So far kitten has never thrown up, and Jack, my older one goes through phases of throwing up. It has been awhile...so now that I typed this, it probably will happen today.

I have been up most of the night. I went through drunk, hungover, hungry, and now just awake all in a span of 5 hours. SO FUN. (not)

I'm just really completely numb, trying to keep myself from obsessive google searching of information, definitions etc.

Two people I trust with their own personal histories told me they agreed with my T. One experienced sibling stuff as well and I'm trying not to give in to my strong urges to ask her a ton of questions as I dunno what triggers her. Her perp sibling also turns to her for help in crisis like my perp sibling with me (not the one whose therapy I'm paying for). (Not using perp in a pejorative sense just to denote the dynamic)

It really stinks that the hospital outpatient clinic I go to is overwhelmed with cases. Every T has a full caseload so my T can only see each person on her caseload once a month.

I'm OK I think but I feel like once the numb wears off, I'm going to implode on myself and all over the place ugh.

Thanks for your concern, I really appreciate it despite how completely numb I am.

Wow, once a month is awful. I doubt that that actually benefits anyone.

Maybe ask your friend directly if and what she'd be willing to tell you? This way you'd perhaps get information and you're less likely to trigger her by accident.

Hugs if you want them, and if you want to talk about whatever...

Yeah, once a month has been going on for like over 6 months++ for me and it's been rough because so many pressing issues crop up and we gotta triage.

For several months, I dealt with a buildup of feeling I didn't matter, I was unimportant etc though I knew logically that last appointment of the day slots are in high demand plus my work schedule being unpredictable, plus vaguely about the increasing caseload she's facing.

Only managed to talk briefly about it with T and she explained it wasn't personal and it's affecting everyone. Felt better about that but boy, it's scary too that this hospital is newly opened and overwhelmed already.

I'm being transferred to community care for my meds since my med doses are quite stable despite me honestly feeling I still need a pdoc because I present much better than I actually am. Some people have "white coat hypertension", I have "MD cheeriness" lol. Was glad to relay my concerns to T because I was treated in community care before and the GP really had extremely basic MH training.

I think I'll ask that friend of mine done questions prefaced with checking in on her comfort levels, potential triggers etc. I'm just so so so numb and I'm spamming T with texts about "T, did you really mean that?" ugh (Her boundary is she will read when she checks periodically but won't reply)

Klonopin just sounds right. It goes well with Putin, Potemkin, Bakunin, Lenin, Stalin etc.

"MD cheeriness"? That expression is perfect, I think I have that too... PDoc doesn't see through my laughing at all. High functioning, so who cares about how you actually feel, right?

Meh, sorry. Hope your conversation with your friend goes well

It sounds Russian, it packs a mean punch, and if you're not careful it will start to dictate your life.

I can see him now: Vladimir Mikhailovich Klonopin.

Is there a drug out there we could rename Putin?

Oh yes! High functioning because I work a full time govt job so they don't care that I SH at work, periodic sui thoughts, have no social life due to anxiety, struggle at work social events (pdoc took me off benzos)...

They just say I sound upbeat and honestly for the life of me I can't dissolve into tears like how I do with T though I WANT TO so they'll actually bloody believe me. If I cry, it's just a tear or two with an embarrassed smile and then I laugh at their joke and they smile at me and just say to cheer up. Sometimes I'm even the one the doctor vents to about "difficult" patients.

I'm sorry you experience that too. It sucks.*hugs*
