SD, would you like to mind two four-year-old for a couple weeks in July in California? I doubt you would let them take over (as I might).

I think we should make a Survivor or Big Brother tv show out of the experience.

I just took a shower.... I put it off not because of the shower itself but because I hate brushing out my hair. I love my shower. It has a little frosted window and a candle and I strung up a bunch of air plants. But I have to brush my hair before and after and it takes forever.

For the record, I see M tomorrow and I will not be taking another shower beforehand.

Umm....how large is your therapist's office?

Current T's is tiny, tiny, tiny (by the standards of other therapists' offices that I've seen) -- if I even slightly stretch my leg, I'd hit hers. It's that tiny.

Plus the air-conditioning in the building isn't that great.

If I don't take a shower specifically before therapy (considering that I see her around 8.30 / 9.30pm), I fear the activation of my sweat glands will be a mutually traumatic (of the non-bonding sort) experience.

How bout a scene in which two cute but devilish little munchkins tie an old lady up and she has to escape?

(As far as I know, they are very well-behaved children.)
Thanks for this!

Ts office is pretty large, and we sit katy-corner from each other in chairs on a i guess 5 × 8 ft rug. So lots of air circulating in between! Plus hes over 70, i dont think he has any nosebuds left. I hardly do myself. He says his dog sleeps on his face, so i cant be worse than that!

Yeah, I can see how toddlers and you would work well. I also have very little sympathy for toddler rants, and am very consistent on keeping the rules of the classroom. Yes, they get two choices, and they always both lead to what I want them to do. Muhahahaha. I also don't feel bad. If I did, I would never last a year in a preschool classroom.

Oh no.
1-Unless I shower, my hair is grossssss. (I have naturally curly hair, but once slept on, it is just flat and weird and ugly)
2--I haven't showered since friday morning. While I have washed my face and brushed my teeth, no human should be near me. Luckily, the cats don't care.

I am a fan of natural consequences. If a child plays in the sink while washing hands (all.the.time) and doesn't roll up their sleeves, they have to suffer with a wet shirt, unless they truly soak themselves.

I'm flattered you think I am cute and devilish.

Velcro - I also have naturally curly hair, and it does get flat, but only after a couple days. I think for me it's that I use only conditioner and that I only wash my hair in the shower after swimming (so, 2-3 times a week). Hairdressers have told me repeatedly that curly hair shouldn't be exposed to shampoo, and products should not be applied to it daily. Less work for me, so I took that path.
Thanks for this!

Super quick update (more later) that MC session ended up going quite well and as an added bonus we got to hear MC demonstrate that you can sing the lyrics of Amazing Grace to the tune of the Gilligans Island theme. Thanks to my pocket riders, who also got to hear a Raffi tune.

For some reason reminded me of the old Venus razor commercials with that song "I'm your Venus, I'm your fire, your desire..."

The memory is of my sister, ~6 years old, running around the house scream-singing "I'm your p****, I'm your fire!"

I cleaned my house today, and did assorted chores. It feels very satisfying.

I also finally watched Guardians of the Galaxy and liked it more than I expected.

So this is what it's like to want an upcoming therapy session to hurry up and get here already (little over 24 hours away). I'm not looking forward to it, and I doubt CW will be much if any use, but I'm all keyed up from the news last week that I'm almost divorced and that the sudden re-entrance of No. 3 into my life, who is finally willing to talk to me so there can be some "closure" after her screw-ups last fall.

And all I had planned for tomorrow originally was to chastise CW for her lousy memory that caused her faux pas at the end of last week's session. Well, at least she might earn her copay this time.
