That's cool, jDNA...

My next session is in an hour. Telling R about Sunday night into Monday morning is going to be hard going. Please can I request pocket riders?

Thanks jDNA, QM, capt, LT and Art!

My word finding skills weren't up to much in the session, but I think it was useful to be able to talk through the experience of allowing the emotions to be there and what that brought up for me.

All in all, I think it was a good one.

If you figure out the answer, please share. Yesterday my therapist said something about me finding someone to love me one day and all I could think was "yeah right". It feels hopeless.

All the things I do to deal with this feeling are negative.

I loathe college administrators.

It doesn’t affect me, but changing deadlines on lecturers and instructors applying for contract renewal a few days before the new, earlier deadline = not cool.

Mine are negative in terms of, the alternatives are worse, such as being with someone but still being alone and not being able to get away and having to do chores for them. Boy i sound lazy! I AM my mothers daughter! the human animal is the only one who laughs - or needs to. And pit bulls smile, so what does that mean?

Velcro, np, youve got us. Which means, ive got you guys, and yes im depending on that, even if you guys arent.

I’ve got a new therapist pet peeve. Crunching mints while the client talks, then a) saying you can’t hear them, and b) asking if they said something about your candy. Projection?

Things did not improve after that, but it wasn’t Info’s fault, but the ghost of 3. Anyone here qualified to do exorcisms?

Wow, that's really annoying. My H got ordained online (to be a backup officiant for friend's wedding) and went to Catholic school--so he's maybe semi-qualified?

I'm still trying to process MC's epic failure of an analogy/anecdote this morning. I was talking about how I'd want H to initiate physical contact, including propositioning for sex, even if I might reject him. MC opted to compare this to asking his son to go get subs with him and having his son say no, which was OK. Which...yeah, there's so much weirdness going on there that I don't even know where to start.

MC (to his credit???) did realize it and was like, "To clarify, I literally meant asking my son to go get subs with me. I wasn't propositioning him for something else. So...I'm just going to go drive down to the licensing board and turn in my psychology license right now."

Then, later, "I'm concerned that H is now going to use, 'Want a sub?' as a way of propositioning you for something else."

Me to H after we walked out: "I bet you really want a sub for lunch now, eh?"
