Trying to catch up on the couch. I went back to work this weekend - feeling much, much better. Had to pretty much tackle a patient today - he started behaving afterwards and the ER doc told me I'm his new hero. LOL. It's great to be back.

I have directed everyone I know to walk away if they find me collapsed or in an accident. I would rather be dead than deal with hospitals.

Oh, I feel totally the same but I make my living off of intoxicated or high individuals who cause a ruckus in the ER.

I had three nightmares last night. One involved 2ex, one work, and one kittens.

Now I’m beat.

I'm dreading this week already. CPS visit tomorrow, not seeing my T besides this morning, anniversary of death/murder Thursday on Thanksgiving. I want to curl up and make it all disappear.

It makes sense. From a young age we learn that food is comforting (bottle/breastfeed).

Will it be the same person from CPS as last time?

I miss her but I just can't afford both.

Therapy isn't a one size fits all.

EDMR might work for some and not for others- it doesn't say anything about you.

If you don't feel it's helping it's okay to stop.

EMDR didnt go how I thought. I told her all of my concerns and she listened, understood and mapped out where she though EMDR should go, what the expectations are, how it should help and all kinds of useful info. She has a 4 to 5 month waitlist so I believe she is not just trying to keep me with this info but actually help.
Thanks for this!

Thanks. I'm just not sure if it is helping or not but I guess I have a better idea of how she expects it to help.

Well yesterday I spent a long time looking at websites with reasons not to SH. Sometimes that's helpful. Other things that are helpful are taking a nap (can't do that I'm at work), cuddling with my kitties (again, at work), taking a warm bath (again, at I'm at work), rubbing nice lotion where I want to SH (this one I can do), getting distracted (which should be easy because I'm at work but it's our slow time right now so I don't have lots to do), texting a friend (this I can do), and I can't think of what else. I've been having these feelings since yesterday. I think my depression is acting up but IDK. I just saw the Pdoc last week. Sigh. HUGS Kit

The 4 year old is being a challenge today. Trying to figure out how to get him to turn it around. He already spent an hour in his room today. It wasn’t effective. Maybe he needs to clean the house again like Friday.

I understand how bad it can be I used to draw on myself with red felt tip pens. I've read about paint too but not tried it.

Maybe you could write out everything on a paper and rip that up.
Or walk to the bathroom and put cold water on your skin. This might be a bit much, but I would google bad self harm scars and some of the images would scare me. It's so easy to really hurt yourself.

What really helped me was actually chucking everything I used out. The nearest store is a good 15 mins away. So I'd have to go out of my way to get X.
