Via text! That's beyond harsh. I can relate to your shock. It's also the powerlessness. How can you process anything with a text or email?! Such cowardice and disrespect

Hugs, if wanted.
It is not clear whether it is permanent. She gave me a referral so I can work with someone to support me with the ending. She said she was sorry to let me know in this way. She was very clear that we can't have contact now. She also said she would be in touch in a few months, but I don't believe this. Even if she intends to be in touch in a few months, how can I trust her again?

She took a short time off last year when she had a family bereavement but she explained and gave me context. This feels very different. Also, her counselling directory profile is still active and showing that she is accepting new clients so I don't believe her generic explanation about needing time off.

I would be devastated if my therapist dumped me out of the blue like that. I certainly was when he was giving me several months warning. I'm sorry you're dealing with this comrade. Do you think you have it in you to try with someone else at this point?

I'm so sorry, comrade. She seemed to offer you a place and relationship where you could get some real inner work done, and the loss of that must be profoundly painful. Your relationship matters to both you and her, and you deserved a different and better ending, if that's what this is.

Wow at your T, comrademoomoo. I'm so sorry. She couldn't even tell you face to face... and right in the middle of such difficult and delicate work too. It's abandonment, isn't it? Please keep posting here if it helps.

There's a difference between burying a problem and solving a problem, isn't there? I'm not going mad?

Just got riled up enough to call Amazon about the book situation. They suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I hear you Artie. I don't have a dental phobia per se, but I just have had really bad dental insurance for the last five or six years so I have been neglecting to go. Good thing is everything is in fine order.

I literally start shaking as soon as I sit in that dreaded chair! My dental insurance is pretty abysmal as well.

I have had lots of work done on my teeth, mainly due to genetics, some of which was very painful, but I'm thankfully still not scared of the dentist. Teeth are one of the most important things to keep healthy, I'm glad I learned how to deal with that somehow... still not fun though.

In my country, dentists are breaking the law when they hurt you. Anesthesia is a must. Is there no law for that in the US?

Mind you, my dentist is a little rough around the edges (he's an ex-army dentist), so he can be less observant about that when he gets impatient.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app got rid of the 'recommendation' for me, but I still don't like the thought of it actually being available on the site. Hopefully not too much longer.

Here, in Switzerland, anestehsia is certainly not done for most normal procedures. It's done for pulling teeth or such, but for scraping your teeth to clean them, doing stuff to braces, putting a filling into a hole that isn't caries... none of that is done under any anesthesia, and I think that's mostly a good thing.

I tried some deep breathing for the anxiety. It helped a little but it's barely taking the edge off. So is the medication. I have a PRN anti-psychotic that I can take but I know I will regret it. The anxiety will go away but I will be like so sedated. It will be so hard to work and think and process. So I am trying not to take it. The anxiety just seems to be ramping up into a panic attack. I texted my T but in all likelihood she isn't up yet.
