Oh! I forgot to tell you guys. My most awesome sister who knows I'm having anxiety issues right now sent me a wonderful gift - it's a wall clock that has moving parts and plays a little tune at the top of every hour (or you can choose to turn the music off) and you can choose classical or christmas tunes and it has glittery gemstones in it and stuff. I LOVE it so much. It's a Seiko "Melodies in Motion" clock. I hung it in my office and it's been keeping my spirits up a little since I received it on Wednesday evening.

Going to call AAA now so I can get my tire changed & go get my meds.

Oh, that sucks. Glad you'll be able to meet Thursday though.

thanks. it was actually helpful just to see her on the screen, even for that short time. just something about knowing she's there, maybe. because of the clock making me feel more cheerful, it was enough until Thursday. Otherwise she won't be in town next Friday so i would have had to wait until the 24th.

Yeah, it helped. Things are getting better but it's a process. Things have changed, like emails. I'm still afraid to share how I really feel about some of this stuff. But I've been showing up and our recent sessions have been less surface level than they were getting to be before. He's gone for another week, back for a week, then gone again for Thanksgiving. It's been hard to switch from three to two sessions but there's no choice in it right now.

The flat tire happening today was good timing though, if there is such a thing. I told L if this had happened last Friday, it would have totally thrown me into a tizzy. But today I was like, oh well, **** happens, we can do a zoom call, and I can call AAA.

Y'all are right it's not a sign I'm not supposed to get the meds. It's an example of how much better I began to feel as soon as I knew pdoc called in the Rx. Like now I know the cavalry is coming or something.

Oh, I thought you meant it as a sign about not seeing L. Rather than the meds. I get it now.

I do hope they help!

You had it right, I was wondering if it was a sign i wasn't supposed to do either one! But it turns out today just wasn't the day for L. If I hadn't had the flat tire and had made it in, we probably would have had some big rupture or something.

And, thanks!

Still waiting for AAA, last I heard they said they would be here 10 minutes ago. Oh, well. The pharmacy's open another 4 hours.

That's how I try to think about things sometimes, too. It can help to think "there was a reason for this happening."

i know it's a small thing, this thing with the flat tire and messed up therapy appointment yesterday, but still, I'm feeling kinda proud of myself for handling it as well as I did. i've also already got an appointment to get the tire fixed or replaced at the place i bought them from a tad over a year ago.

Is that Uck a misspelled Ack or have I provoked a new stopdog-ism?

It's stopdog for yuck.

I recently realized the next couch will be choose cheese 247!

I got SO MUCH done today & recently. Took out the garbage, ordered bottled water for emergency rations (thats the only thing i was needing - i dont trust myself with sterno!), checked all my prescriptions for expiring scrips for my dr appt tuesday, doing the garbage counted as exercise as i got quite sweaty.
Thanks for this!

Ever since I picked up the sertraline Friday night, I've been doubting myself whether or not I actually want to take it so I haven't started yet. Which is stupid of me, considering how much better I felt once I knew I had the Rx called in.

It could help art, but you can also stop taking it if it’s not for you. It’s okay to change your mind.

I lasted maybe two months on medication with both the ones I tried.

I think its old age! I find myself doing that a lot - with meds, with packages, well there isnt much more to my life than that. I just dont jump in feet first eyes closed like i used to. Is it a rut? Or is it keeping the car on the roller coaster tracks?

Excuse me i just stunned myself into silence, that was so profound!
Thanks for this!

It was profound Una O. You should write a book with all your little sayings.

All medication can have risks. So the hesitancy is understandable.
