I have jury duty tomorrow and must report at 8 AM. I just worked all day until 8 PM and just got home 15 minutes ago. I tried to request to be excused for medical and employment reasons, but they denied my request. The morning is not my friend. Crossing my fingers it won't be as bad as I'm anticipating.

They excused me because of my faulty brain I guess. I was shaking so bad and talking funny.

I just lucked out actually....I just called the number you are supposed to call after 5 PM to see if you still have to report, and it listed my Juror Number as excused!! Yay! That's a good last-minute surprise.

I just called off work. I'll be calling the Dr office as soon as they open. If I can't get in today I'll go to convenient care. I'm just not getting better!

I'm not sure what to think, but these meds are really improving the content of my dreams. I wouldn't say I had nightmares before, there was never any waking/sweating thing; but they were always grindingly horrific, dreary; sad and lonely, for years really.

Now I have the little star wars furballs playing intergalactic travel by stargate ring, but using little tarot cards instead of the dialer, bringing great healthcare and amusingly horrible public infrastructure to all they visit.

Not sure how a tiny dose of abilify (2.5mg) is pulling that off, but its not something I could ever do by placebo induction, or I would have done it years ago!

I do feel very "activated" by the abilify now that its at a mostly stable level, makes me a little concerned, but I've not felt driven to do anything stupid, and there's no aggression or irritability in the mix.

Sure do understand why some folks drink alcohol to take the edge off this feeling, but I think I'll remain a teetotaler, past experience is not favorable to such self-medication.

Wish I could just call up and say, "doc, more depakote!" But I decided I'd try to be completely neutral at least this first year, see what her game plan produces before begging... lol.

New here! First check in. Waiting on the new meds to slow me down. Should I tell my NP that I took my meds wrong? I was supposed to start 25 mg of lamictal per day, but I misread it, thinking I was supposed to take 25mg TWICE per day....I am now in week 2 where I am supposed to be on 50 mg anyway....

Thank you! I called and left a message. She is usually great about getting back to me within a few hours, but she is out today. So far so good on the rash. Thank goodness I only did it on the low dose!

Welcome, DirtDiva. It's good to see new members joining and joining in.

I've got a short stint at work. The doc recommended just a half day of school for my son today, rest for his brain all afternoon.

More of the same mild depression for me. It's been about a month now, but ECT on Monday should effectively give it the boot.

Welcome to PC, 5150DirtDiva! Regarding the Lamictal, you might just want to check with your NP. I started out on 25 mg 1x day as a I tapered up to 2X then 3X, etc. I wouldn't think the 25 mg 2x daily would necessarily hurt, but best to talk to a doctor/your NP. As bizi said above, just be aware early on of any rash (or itchy skin) since this can be a serious side effect, yet rare. I have been on 400 mg for a while now without any side effects.

Just got back from Convenient Care, my Dr doesn't work on Wednesday I guess. Anyway pneumonia has not cleared. If my Dr had sent me for follow up x rays like convenient care did I would have been long over this crap. I'm not very happy with her right now!

Ok so I went to my women's bible study (about 180 ladies) and then out to eat and talked, hugged, and participated through it all. I'm trying to be more social since I've been sitting in the recliner all these months. I'm an extreme introvert but feel this is necessary. I am exhausted. I would rather work the 12-16 and sometimes 18 hour days I did as a CPA. I'd have more energy at least. I'm a little discouraged and have my daughter yelling at me about building my social muscle. I'll try socializing again tomorrow. Sigh. Funny, I feel closer to some of the folks on here then in my social groups.

Didn't get to see my pdoc before he went on a 9 day holiday. So annoyed as I wanted to talk discharge and change of couple of of meds (amounts and or/stopping) Thankfully the registrar can help me with my options but he is not as skilled. I might also see the pdoc on call if needed in an emergency. Just a frustrating situation.

As I was already in a bad way when I found out so the wonderful nurse I had made sure I was safe as possible and looked after. This care made all the difference from me running away to remaining safe. I am so thankful for excellent nurses.

Now it is 3.50am and I am wide awake, but i did fall asleep around 9pm. Will try and get more sleep and if not take that shower to wash my hair that I have been putting off for about 5 days. I am hoping today will be a better one than yesterday.

Wander, best of luck with your quest and the possibility of discharge. Being IP sucks in general - every time I've ever gone I've been ready to leave the next day, regardless of how long I've been required to stay.
