Thank you!
![]() ![]() ![]() I have been experiencing great challenges with my back and ribs. I have several "slipped discs," many of which do not bother me. I have pinched a nerve which in in the vicinity of my mid-spine. The pain wraps around both ribs and is extremely painful, especially as the day wears on.The symptoms worsen when if/when I use my arms to lift anything, or to extend my arms forward. I have been seeing my chiropractor, whom I know very well. She is also licensed in PT, so the best of both worlds? Lol. I have been seeing her for two weeks now. I will continue to see her. She is releasing a LOT of tension which has built up in my spine/muscles, etc. Our bodies hold a lot of emotions and have stories to tell. Our bodies hold more emotions, more information and more wisdom than we may ever know. I have been somewhat limited physically. I do hope to get my recumbant stationary bike moved to this address so I can use it , especially this winter. ![]() Party On! ![]() Love to ALL ![]()

Noom is working well for me. I’ve lost 7 pounds in ten days. The program is not intended to work that way. It is intended that you lose 1-2 pounds a week. I am following the guidelines to the letter though. The best part is that I’m learning to have a healthy relationship with food (I’m an emotional/stress eater). I’m really pleased. Finally, something that works.

Jennifer, if you don't mind asking, how much does Noom cost? It looks really interesting but I didn't know the cost.

I’m in a two week trial period that I paid $1 for and then it will be $140.23 for four months. I live in a state that tacks on tax of $10 or so. It might be cheaper in your state.

yesterday was the worst it's been in quite sometime
I litirally sat their, stiff as a board, almost in tears (my leg went dead too which wasn't fun) not in as much pain today but it is still a lot more than usual which I have to say is odd... I have done nothing too physical to warrant it (though I did shower friday, takes me ages to recover from that) |

Physical - uggh! I am too sedated on Seroquel. The amount I must take to help me to sleep is enough so I am sedated the next morning and/or afternoon. I do not have time for this. I mean, I have lots that needs immediate attention and I am too sedated to function on that level. I cannot go on with this. I can use the Seroquel maybe 2 nights a week in order to get some sleep now and then. I am not going to be able to do much for physical exercise as I am light-headed and feel a bit off balance with the combo of meds, at least that it the case right now. I am hoping the sedation clears up this afternoon.

I feel pretty good. I've been a bit more sluggish than usual though and the only thing I can attribute that to is tapering off my meds. I've forced myself to stay active though. I don't want to let myself get back into a rut where exercise isn't a priority.
I keep waiting for cooler temperatures so that my kids and I can play outdoors more. It got up to 96 today. We played outside this morning, but I miss our afternoon outside time. There has been a lot of screen time instead and I know that isn't good for them. It will officially be fall next week, but the forecast is for the temps to stay high. I have pumpkin waffles on the menu for dinner one night this week anyway ![]() I hope everyone in pain is finding relief and I hope everyone that is well is taking advantage of that gift. Hugs and well wishes to all. |

I keep running across documentation of vatious programs that show exercise helps patients suffering from mental illness in a number of ways. I thought this was a good example. The program they follow is high intensity like the circuit training I'm doing. I wish I could do this in a group setting like they are here, but my schedule won't allow for it. I decided to begin my routine after my first episode of psychosis like the participants in this study and my results are similar.

I guess my only physical complaint is the onset of my fall sinus issues. Yea, I know it's not yet fall (pdoc reminded me of that on Wednesday and even two weeks before), but I'm in the autumn spirit. If I think it's autumn, I say it's autumn. Whatever! Anyway, I've been putting Vicks VapoRub under my nose for the last few nights. My mother used to put it up her nose, but I know you're not supposed to. OTC meds like Tylenol Sinus do squat for me, nowadays. They used to help, but then again the ingredients in Tylenol Sinus used to be different. I have taken pseudophedrine at times, but my psychiatrist forbids me to do so. Actually, the pharmacist told me not to even take Tylenol Sinus, but to just use the stupid nasal sprays, but they do nothing. Sometimes I try a wet hot washcloth or breath in hot steam from a saucepan. That actually does help a little bit, but you can't stand over a saucepan all day long.
I hope that everyone's pain eases. I'm wondering if weather exacerbates it for people or helps. I've been quite productive in the mornings, lately. Raring to go! I hope that those on Seroquel will get used to it soon. |

You can definitely find some of them at whole foods. I get mine from Amazon. For peppermint oil I like one made by Zongle Theraputics. It is the best tasting that I have found. I use a drop or two straight up on my tongue for nausea or to just refresh my breath. I also dab it on my temples and behind my ears for headaches. You can mix it with a bit of coconut oil to make a rub for your chest. I also like a brand called Majestic Pure. I use their lemon oil in my kitchen diffuser and when I make house cleaners. You can get the diffuser machines and the diffuser necklaces on Amazon too. They are both relatively cheap. |

I love essential oils, too. I have not used them as much this past year, just because it has not been very convenient.
![]() I hope to get back to it. I also use them on my body in carrier oils. My favorite carrier oils being jojoba and almond. I am glad you have mentioned these, fern. Many diffuse lavender for anxiety/relaxation, and sleep. I love peppermint and myrrh. Myrrh is often used in spiritual "initiations." There are many I cannot use because I react to them in a bad way.. I react to many substances/scents, even "natural" ones. ![]() AkA: "Environmental Illness/Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, etc. In general, I have seen essential oils be very helpful to many. ![]()
