I feel kind of sad today because it’s my birthday tomorrow. I don’t usually do much anyways to celebrate it. But I’ve always been busy with other normal things. I usually work on my birthday. Then I go out for dinner. Last year I don’t remember if I had to work but I had a therapy appointment and then a doctors appointment and then we went out to dinner. So it’s not like I usually take the day off for fun stuff. But I think I feel bad because I actually miss work and in person therapy appointment instead of being sad because it’s just my birthday.

I talk to my pnurse again today. I don't know what to tell her other than asking for more temazepam. I got 4 hours of sleep last night and that was with 30mg of temazepam. I'm kinda freaking out because I'm out of temazepam and I'm not sure if it was the sleep from the temazepam or the lithium that brought me down from mania. I still don't feel it's completely gone yet, and I won't believe so until I get a full night's sleep. I just pace around all day spending time inside of a head filled with racing thoughts.

Bean goes by Ollie now. He's crazy. Scaled some curtains yesterday and tried (and failed) sitting on the curtain rod.

Just got off the phone with my pnurse. I guess they overheard that I said I kinda like my current one because they're switching me to someone else. I've been with this clinic for 2 years and they've already switched med providers on me 3 times. I've talked to people who have my new pnurse and I guess she isn't super fluent in English and has a heavy hard to understand accent. I'm usually pretty good with figuring out what people mean so hopefully this isn't as much of a problem for myself as it was to the other people. Also she's doubling my lithium dose because I'm still "manic" but I'm sleeping almost every night so wtf is the problem? Oh well, I'll go along with it because she makes sense most of the time. Talk to the new gal in two weeks. They sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy again, but maybe this one will actually fill my temazepam.

Thanks. I’m looking forward to the haircut and I’m hoping it makes me feel better. My mom cut it awhile ago and it looks really bad.

I finally got set up with WhatsApp on my new European cell phone. I talked to my brother first, then did a WhatsApp video call with Sis. I also tried calling my father, but for some reason the WhatsApp my brother installed on Dad's phone has some problems. We ended up calling Dad through internet call then tried the WhatsApp, but again the WhatsApp didn't reach him. Bro will need to reinstall it when he sees Dad. Who knows when that will be. There is absolutely no visitation at his assisted living facility right now. Plus, Dad said my brother has even been delinquent about calling him, not to mention seeing him. I think my brother is in bad sorts. During my call with him he sounded down and negative.


One surprising thing was that my sister said she stopped by where my brother lives and the dining room was neat and clean. Shocker! It is usually a disaster area. I even told my dad that story and he was happily surprised. It's really my dad's house. I thought it would make him feel a little better knowing Bro "de-trashed" it. Bro is not really a hoarder type, just a very messy guy who puts crazy hobby stuff where it doesn't belong. Like honeybee paraphernalia. Plus, he never dusts or vacuums.

I went to the grocery store again today to get chicken wings (which I'm cooking right now) and they only had 2 packages left! (Probably due to the Super Bowl) I'm surprised I found them at all what with the store all discombobulated! It has changed since yesterday! HUGE sections are different and that piled of dirt is now going to be a freezer aisle. They must be working day and night to get this much done so quickly.

It's supposed to snow starting around 8 p.m. through 4 a.m. tomorrow (4 inches) and then it will be a wind chill of 3 or something. So icy roads tomorrow. Since its cold now and getting colder, I put my chicken wings under a chair on the balcony to protect them somewhat from the snow. I will put them in the freezer tomorrow probably.

I'm listening to a CD of French songs which I wish I could understand! The words are in the booklet that came with the CD but I don't understand what they say! I took French from age 10 to "Conversational French" in college but I'm not that great at it. I guess you don't use it you lose it. N3's piano teacher goes to France a lot- well when there's not a pandemic- and is fluent. She holds Zoom meetings for people who want to practice their French. Just a fun get together that they may have done at Starbucks or her home before.

I wish I could write music! It's such a talent that I wish I had. I wrote two pieces of music when I was 12 and 13 but never pursued it past going to music school. I never took a composition class there. (And those pieces I wrote are now lost. ) That's why I keep writing poems partly- imagining them as songs for solo voice and the accompaniment of old instruments like the viol.

I still really want a dog. A greyhound or a chihuahua. The applications to adopt retired racing greyhounds like long and detailed. It's like they want you to be perfect or they won't let you adopt one of their dogs. I don't have a backyard, but there is the dog park I could drive to, not to mention we could just walk/jog our way around the neighborhood.

The weather was incredibly bad today. My haircut was postponed until tomorrow morning. Then we didn’t do anything tonight for dinner. We couldn’t go out to get carry out and I didn’t want a delivery driver to risk it. I find it rude to order food when the weather is so bad. I wasn’t very hungry today so I ate a purple sweet potato and a little can of spaghettios for dinner. Honestly I’m not feeling good and I haven’t felt good for awhile. I’m scared to go to the doctors because I’m worried something is legit wrong and I’m worried about getting more exams and test and procedures and surgeries done. I’ve just been taking Tylenol and sleeping it off. I was in bed most of the day once I found out my haircut was moved. I did get to Walmart early this morning. I’m glad the unusual flavors of coke in cans are coming back.

But thanks for the birthday wishes. It for sure means a lot to me. My entire family besides my mom forgot about my birthday which was kinda depressing. I’m not one of those people who post on Facebook about how no one cares and they are all alone and stuff. I know they do care. But I didn’t even get a call or text from my sister. So yeah I feel a bit lonely and sad today.
