Thank you Fuzzybear and Little Turtle for being here today Thank you to everyone on the bus
I have also found this with psychiatry.
Thank you to all on the bus for being here.

Being AS IS....

Oh dear TS... I thought I accepted myself as is.

I have been meditating and learnt a new skill.

But now I realise that I wasn't truly accepting myself as is at all.

Sending respect and compassion to all who are struggling with difficult emotions on the bus

i am going to train my mind for me..

Depressed and getting panic attacks from time to time. Everything seems to have come to a standstill... life sucks today. However, I am much less restless.
I am trying to take it one day at a time and just trying to make it through the day.
Hugs and much love and respect to all AS IS.

desiree----i was helped by a psychologist david carbonell...
he is on the web...i have his panic attacks workbook...

also the lady doctor claire weekes...

i find it very hard work...you have to practice every day...
but the psych pills can do only so much...

Thank you for posting this LT.

I will look at their work with hope for the future.

Mindfulness cannot hurt. Like other things, it takes practice and is not a cure. Relief is worthwhile.

Thanks Little turtle.
Is the panic attacks workbook available on the web? I am going to google and see. I'll also look up Claire Weeks.
To practice every day would be a problem with me at present.
You know fuzzy had once mentioned DBT to me and I got Linehan's Manual and started reading it... but gradually it got tougher and tougher to understand...because of my failing memory....so I gave it up. But as far as I have read through the book, it was good. It mentioned mindfulness too... I think the concept is good. But I got to read the book to have a fair idea about mindfulness.

I now realise that accepting myself as is, means accepting the pain and suffering that lives within me.

I have practised loving my inner snake, with some partial success.
Now I must not run from my painful emotions
I need to accept and observe them until they pass.

Claire Weeks may have something here

Sending respect and compassion to all on the as is bus
