I still weigh 177. I ate 2500 calories today. I did not intend to do this, but I drank two yogurt smoothies. I found the Greek Gods Greek Yougert a dollar off from its regular price. Out of the different yougerts I have looked at and and ate, IMHO this is the best whole milk yougert that I have come across. It has an outrageous amount of milk fat with the least amount of additives. So I broke down and had my second yogurt. I could have skipped the slices of banana bread, but I decided to eat them anyways. It is soo good with butter.

I have been having good results with the Nutribullet. It handles frozen fruit with no problem. However, the ice thins the yogurt smoothie. So I will defrost the fruit before using it. I am still straining that tub of regular whole milk yogurt before use. For a bit more than a cup of yogurt, I get at least a couple tablespoons of whey at the bottom of the bowl within about 18 hours. I may try for 24 hours to see what happens.

PS I should be having more money for groceries soon, so I will be eating better. I do want some recommendations for the dinners they have at Trader Joe’s. I want to try one of them.

My scale still read 183, a pound over the lowest I have seen (which was 4 days ago) but well within the normal day to day bounce range. Losing weight the slower, healthier way can be agonizing. 184 was the lowest weight I saw before upping my calories and I have been at 182/183 and not seen 184 since upping calories, so I think it is trending down but have to give it more time. the calorie calculator I use estimates that eating 1453 calories a day would result in the loss of 1 pound per week if I were totally sedentary. I am not, but I don't think that I have been getting enough exercise to be "lightly active" either. I need to change that and start getting some regular exercise. The estimate for a 2 pound loss is 953, which is about what I averaged during my unhealthy stretch, but I averaged losing more weight than that so I am getting more exercise than "sedentary". I probably walk up and down the stairs at home enough times a day to qualify as more than sedentary. Anyway, my point is that since the math worked at the low level it should work eating at this level also. I am just really impatient.

I now weigh 178. I guess it is going back and forth in a holding pattern which is good news...so far. I strained about 1 to 1 1;2 cups of the inexpensive yogurt, which is not the more expensive Greek Gods Greek yogurt, and by this morning, I found a quarter cup of whey at the bottom of the bowl. If I would strain it for a full 24 hours, I am sure there would be more. So for now, I am going to use the inexpensive whole milk yogurt. However, I will also be adding a few tablespoons full of the tastey Greek Gods yogurt just before I make a smoothie. I can save money this way and still end up with a tastey result. My goal is to consume over 2100 calories today.

I must have a lot of water weight because I've lost 3 pounds in the last 3 days.

Nice! Yeah, it's likely you lost that over a series of days and had it hidden by water weight.

I only burn about 2100 calories a day, so it is impossible for me to truly lose a pound a day, even if I did a total fast. A fast and a lot of exercise, maybe. Doesn't sound like much fun.

The "jitter" is annoying. Even though I know it is nothing to worry about, it bugged me to see the scale go up a pound. Next time I weigh, it might be down 2, then back up 1, etc. As long as the trend is down, I can deal with some fluctuations.

Looks like image upload is busted again. Another day near 1500. Still a little heavy on snacks, but a lot of that is fruit.

I’ve had a mostly successful three days. Not necessarily calories wise but content wise. A lot more vegetables and fruits, less fried and fatty food. Today I did have a grilled cheese but I also had a salad at McDonald’s (only used half the dressing) and turkey cheddar pinwheels (small wrap cut into 4 pieces). I had strawberries for dessert with sugar free whipped cream. So I’m slowly changing over my eating. That’s all I can hope for. I didn’t compulsively eat yesterday or today.

I skipped lunch which was not a good idea. I have consumed about 2100 calories today. To make up for the loss of calories for lunch, I had a calorie packed pancake dinner. I even added an egg for good measure. This time I have used the cooking weight scale. This is where I found out that on the pancakes mix, the calorie count from myfitnesspal is different from what is stated on the box. Still, when the box says three pancakes for a half a cup of mix, I have to figure out what this means for my pancake size. I will have to investigate this further. I may have placed a different amount on the scale compared with what I actually used. Flour can compress easily. Next time I will measure the mix as I am placing it in the bowl instead of after the fact trying to see how much I used. I definitely will be using the scale more where I can do this instead of guessing. Either way, I think this calorie count is close.

If there is one, the food entries with the green check mark are best as they are verified. One brand that can be tough is Walmart Great Value because they source from lots of different companies. Once I found 2 tubs of whole milk Greek yogurt next to each other with a different calorie count.

Eating too much junk again. If I had to count the number of M & m’s I’ve consumed this year they would likely stretch a 100 miles. I’m not s big eater and underweight. I’ve a fixed number in my head that I do not deviate from.
I’m just terrible at filling my stomach with unhealthy stuff and being too lazy to cook healthy stuff for myself. I’ll make good suppers for others but if I’m on my own forget it.

...sorry that post was not very motivating!

I had an early appointment with my doctor. They weighed me out to be at 180. My shoes add a couple pounds, so my weight is closer to 178. This may mean an actual weight gain has happened. If this is the case, my over 2100 calorie meals may be actually putting weight on me albeit very slowly. I still need to find a calorie count that will maintain my weight, and then meet it most of the time. Today I will make peanut butter cookies. Peanut butter is healthy, correct? I do get paranoid about further weight loss, and even weight gain. I cannot let these day-to-day changes in weight throw me.

I had a weird tasting hard boiled egg this morning that I threw out and a bowl of oatmeal. I'm at 126. My goal weight is 121. Only five pounds to go. Not a lot, but seems impossible.

Upload still busted. Went slightly over 1500 today; maybe. I did a lot of estimating about my dinner, where I had a big bowl of soup and a huge sweet potato.

Another hectic day. I am becoming less disciplined. I need to change this. If I do not plan out my meals for the day, I end up eating less than I should. Then I try to make up the difference with one last calorie full meal and hope I get in enough calories. This is no way to manage my food intake. I will have to go back to my regular routine. It looks like I am not ready to eat without planning ahead. Besides, planning ahead is the only way to insure that I will have enough calories by the end of the day, but still not gain weight when I get to my goal of 180 pounds.

I had two hotdogs, a yogurt smoothie, french toast, and I actually have forgotten what I had for lunch. I am sure this will eventually come back to me. I know I had a below 2000 calorie day. That Nutribullet does a good job. That was a good purchase. I also ate some peanut butter cookies.

I don't know how I will survive tonight lots of food and drinks abound.
and my fingers are bandaidless.
I started picking at my thumb last night at trivia.
my tdoc suggested I get a fidget or a little bracelet with a dangly
thing from it to wear and play with...I have not shopped for that yet.
she also suggested alternatively to wear a long piece of jewerly that I could play with as well. something to do with my hands.
This is the biggest test to my sobriety. They are serving fish chowder.
I just told jeff that I don't want to spend that much time at the party tonight, because I am dieting and not drinking he said that is fine.
I hope you have a good saturday!

I made it to 180 pounds today. I have made peanut butter cookies, so I need to watch out from eating too many. Today I am planning out my menu for the day. I found out that a yogurt smoothie made from Greek Gods greek yogurt has a significant amount of calories due to its high amount of milk fat, so I can use this as a healthy way to boost calories.

Still 183 this morning. I don't record tenths but they did drop from last time. But a few days back I saw 182 (it was a "perfect storm" of dehydration and timing around certain bodily functions). Still staying the course.

I am full, but I still have dinner to go. Hopefully, I will be able to eat it before bedtime. I need to resist the temptation to eat more cookies than one a day. The image upload still is broken. I will consume 2200 calories for this day, and possibly bit more by the end of the day.
