So far I've had 2 12oz glasses of white chocolate mocha coffee with 3 tablespoons of whipped cream each, and a can of vanilla Coke. I did 400 reps with my ab roller so far. My weight went down a couple pounds. Zero sugar is evil and stalls my weight.

I did pilates this morning, and I will probably stick with pilates the next couple of days because it is supposed to get cold here overnight, just below freezing. With the Raynaud's, I don't want to get my fingers too cold, and the gloves I have are not exactly made for very cold weather so don't protect my hands that much once the temp gets down into the 40s and lower.

Yesterday I walked while talking on the phone. Today, the same, but less talking. Walked for about 2 hours. Now will walk to the mailbox and back. That is across our entire complex, quite a distance. Other than that, it was a day of rest.

It got cold here, around freezing, so I just did pilates this morning. It's warmed up some now, but I like exercising first thing in the morning before I shower.

@Tart Cherry Jam - That is a long walk! Do you walk indoors or outside?

I did 500 reps with my ab roller today. I was a bit lazy with it but more active in other ways. Food wise I did decently but I still need to cut back on the soda and coffee.

We got Sonic and I ate one french fry. That was a few hours ago and I haven't eaten since noon I think. But I'm not hungry. I did order some protein yogurt and overnight oats and Perfect bars and stuff.

I had these 2 bottles of overnight oats that I mixed yesterday. You just add water and shake the bottle and put it in the fridge overnight. I had both of them for breakfast. I also got a drink at the coffee shop on my way to the grocery store. I'm at 940 calories which is lower then I normally am at this time and my protein is pretty decent too because of the oats.

I did pilates again this morning. I really want to go walking, but it's just so cold outside lately. The lows have been around freezing; I think the temp is supposed to climb slightly though stay in the 30s all week. I don't know how those of you who exercise outdoors in cold weather do it! I may attempt a short walk tomorrow morning, but I don't know. I exercise in all kinds of crazy heat & humid, but the cold really gets to me.

I hear you Blueberry, I ought to run tomorrow but it’s so cold out there.

The ballot opened for the half marathon places but I haven’t entered yet, I’m telling myself if I run tomorrow and feel okay then I’ll take it as a good omen and I’ll enter. Lol.

Love overnight oats Mountaindewed! Plain or flavoured? I got some plain kefir drink this week and it does seem like it’s helping my digestive system, it tastes pretty nice too, very creamy and a bitter tang. Other than that I’m eating a lot of watermelon as I got a big one half price, its gorgeous but it’s so big it’ll last forever!

@Discombobulated they were apple cinnamon, and maple brown sugar. I've heard of kefir but I'm not really sure what it is. I love watermelon.

Yesterday: Orangetheory with some modifications due to the hamstring injury still flaring up from some exercises. Then, stretching.
Today: personal training plus 20 minutes on a recumbent elliptical.

Kefir is a fermented yogurt drink, so it’s got beneficial bacteria in for the gut, it’s supposed to help with all sorts of health issues but mainly digestive health. I’m giving it a go anyway, we’ll see.

Well this morning I had to force myself out of bed but it was a decent run, cold but not windy or badly iced up… so I did enter the ballot although I’m still unsure about it.

Great job running in the cold @Discombobulated! Awesome exercising @Tart Cherry Jam & @Mountaindewed!

I couldn't bring myself to go outside for a walk this morning, the temp was hovering around freezing. Even at noon, it's still in the low 40s. I am so cold as my house is an older one and doesn't have the best insulation around the doors & windows.

I did the "absolute beginner" pilates video in my series this morning to slow down and because it gives you better stretching. Yesterday, my neck was hurting SO bad. Stretching yesterday & today helped along with the pilates video. I found the "absolute beginner" video in the series not hard at all any more; I guess my pilates skills have finally moved up to just regular "beginner"!

I wasn't a human garbage disposal today and I didn't overdo the ab roller. I notice differences in my hunger when I take different types of melatonin. I had 1,415 calories, and I did 230 reps with my ab roller. I ran a ton of errands too.

Theres this Yoplait protein yogurt I've been eating today that does keep me full.

Chilly morning again and a nice run, took a while to warm through, it was a couple below freezing I think. Sky was beautiful, beginning of a pinky sunrise. Had a nice bowl of warm oatmeal and fruit when I got home.

Brr! Still cold out this morning and drizzly, even inside the house it's chilly. I stuck with pilates again. I just cannot wait until it warms up. I am ready to go walking outside again!

I was hungry today but I was not anywhere I could eat. Although I do think my metformin is working because I'm able to sit with hunger and control it better. I did notice a difference in the scale this morning too.

I’m finally starting to feel better after being sick for 2 weeks. I got on the treadmill today for 30 minutes. In a little while I’m also gonna take a 30 minute walk to the library (15 minutes there and 15 minutes back). I’ll probably do some yoga today as well

That’s good to hear Bluebird, how are things with your friend? Hoping they’ve turned up safely.

Another little run this morning, had to watch my feet as the frost was heavy, I kind of like running in the dark as I feel like I’m in my own little world though. Have got 3 runs in this week which is the most in a while, energy is okay too.

It's cold, rainy, and windy outside, and I had GI issues overnight and into the morning, so I'm taking a much needed rest day. I always feel guilty when I don't exercise (ED, OCD, who knows?), but I'm pretty dehydrated and exercising, even just pilates would push it today. I haven't had rest day in awhile anyway, so I'm due for one.

I have lost a few pounds. This morning I did 500 reps with my ab roller. I did 10 crunches which were really hard to do.
This morning I ordered an off brand Bosu ball with resitance bands attached to it. The reviews were good.

I ate an Amys burrito for breakfast because I had been craving a burrito for awhile and I some in the freezer. But its been going well.

I've been slacking off on both exercise and weight loss. I haven't done the pushups & crunches for a few days, and I can't remember the last time I walked, although the cold would aggravate my fingers and make breathing painful. Now I understand the idea of "mall walkers."

This reminds me about a debate my coworkers and I had about 40 years ago. Is it better to exercise on an empty stomach? Or should you eat first (lightly) and then exercise.

I've always sided with the empty stomach approach. This is how we functioned when we had to work for our food (hunt or harvest it) prior to fast food era. Digestion requires energy, which will hinder your ability to exercise. Besides, I'd always get stomach cramps back then, even if all I did was drink water before exercising. As well, look at how some animals exert themselves to prey on game, then engorge themselves and sleep or lounge for several hours.

OTOH, when you eat a light meal first and then exercise, any excess calories (blood sugar) are diverted, preventing insulin build-up and fat accumulation (or at least that's how I understand "their" argument).

I walked for 40 minutes after lunch at the office while listening to an audiobook. Came back to work and had a really productive afternoon. I started such walks thinking that it would be good for my circadian rhythms if I got early afternoon sunlight, but I know simply like how the walks (today was the 2nd one) make me feel. Plus, walking after lunch blunts the glucose spikes that I otherwise would have from eating carbs. When I went on my first walk, it was after I ate a whole naan (Indian flat bread) for lunch. I live naan but rarely allow myself to eat it because I am trying to limit simple carbs. So, with the walk that followed, the naan did not cause a glucose spikes. So, so far so good.

I have also lost a couple of pounds and am almost back to the weight at which I was prior to the injuries in the fall that caused me to cut back on exercise.
