Gaaaaaah. I have to open an email message that arrived this morning. I'm just really scared to read it. There is no good reason for that - at worst the sender will be mildly frustrated by the fact that I haven't responded to her email from a couple of weeks ago; I never opened that one because, again, I was scared (and had absolutely no reason to be, at that point!)

It's related to a workshop I'm giving in a few weeks' time. I haven't missed any deadlines or screwed up. Not really. I cann't understand why I can't just open the message.

....and when I opened the message it was a cheerful "I just wanted to let you know that we have fifteen people signed up for the workshop, and I'm looking forward to meeting you!"

I do make things harder for myself, quite unnecessarily and often.

I'm making things harder for myself than they need to be. I finally figured out how to crochet my pie blackbirds and wrote down directions for myself and have completed 5 of the 24 bodies, not complicated, but every one I stress out as if I had never done one before.

Ah well, completing this in a timely manner is important in changing patterns I went to therapy to change not to mention I think the finished product will be acceptably close to my original vision.

It is funny how not everyone plays at cross examination like we do. In my close group of friends there are 4 attys out of the 14 of us- when we get on a roll the others just walk away (social workers are wimpy friends when it comes to lawyer fun)

Does anyone else find PC to be a kind of group therapy in itself?

I'm finding it that way. I get to try out being with others in a semi-anonymous environment and get feedback, try out saying helpful to things to people and see how they are received, use my strongest communication modality - the keyboard, I get to work out social anxiety, handle conflict without dying from it, take social risks, reread later what I actually said and how others actually responded (if applicable) and best of all, log out whenever I want. It's bleeding into my RL in a good way.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've missed several pages so I doubt I'll get caught up.

I think my break is over.

So incredibly pissed off at my oldest right now. Breathe. I was a 17 year old girl once upon a time. Breathe. I thought the world revolved around me and miracles should happen just because I made a wish. Breathe. Do not stay awake all night bemoaning your fate. Breathe. Everything will look different in the morning. Breathe.

Yeah, not helpful. But thanks for listening!

I am trying to find a decent pair of bluetooth earbuds that I can walk around the house using. I don't like the kind that are like cups that cover the ear.

All I see online is brands I've never heard of. Odd.

What I thought was funny - he thought was creepy. He told me it was all about "this guy letting little children kill themselves." I'd never thought about it like that! He kept talking about the details of what he thought of as each child's death. I guess I never related it to death. I thought of it as them taking themselves out of the race - but never thought of it as them dying. Anyway, it's interesting how different people perceive things. My son, by the way, is an intelligent and exquisitely sensitive soul.
Wonka makes it quite clear at the end that everyone will be returned to normal.

It's just a modern wineskin, after all.

Tap the post, click more, select web view, then hugs. I have to press hugs twice to get it to work, but it does.

Yay! Thanks Cat!
I did try that before, but I only got the option to reply. Turns out I was logged in on the app but not on the browser. (Though at first I though it might have been because I was trying to hug Stopdog)

Isn't my hug blocker working?

The thought of PC as group therapy is interesting. I have never been forced into group therapy and would not do it voluntarily, but sometimes PC is awful and destructive in the exact wame way that I imagine group therapy would be for me.

So, I have to have this thing done for work tomorrow. It's super easy, and I've had all week to do it, but I still haven't touched it. Here I am at 10:30, working on my second glass of wine, and it's still not done.
I don't want to do the stupid thing!!!
