I like frozen twinkies. I usually forget chocolate if I buy it but sometimes I like it because I can eat one piece a day. I just get tired of it pretty quickly. I am a saltish person more than a dessert/chocolate sort.

While dishwasher shopping, h presented a perfect opportunity for me to practice assertiveness, I had asked a question of the salesman and h made a very condescending remark to me about it. So, I looked at him and said calmly "Please don't ever speak to me that way again."

It felt pretty darn good, and I felt myself standing a little bit straighter as a result. The surge of self-respect I also felt was a bit of a surprise.

And, the dishwasher I wanted was actually $50 less than the price advertised online, so that was a nice surprise as well.

Good for you, Artie!

And glad you got a good deal on the dishwasher--hope you like it! What brand is it? We like our KitchenAid we got a couple years ago when ours died. The other one was really old, and it's amazing how quiet this one is in comparison.
Thanks for this!

Thanks LT! And, it's a Frigidaire, we had basically the same model in our previous house that we had really liked, and I had been a little tempted to exchange the dishwashers out before we sold the old house but I think if we'd done that it would have taken longer to sell the old house. I've never liked the current one in this house, but just didn't want to spend the money to replace it while it was still semi-functional. Yeah the sales guy mentioned how quiet this one is, too. That will be nice.

I feel really irritated tonight, I'll just vent my thoughts here until I can talk to my T: Was at a family gathering tonight, my parents and my mom's sister's family. My aunt is working as a "normal" doctor in a psych hospital (i.e. if you hurt your foot while there, she treats it). And she talked about the disorders those people have, and went like "it's mostly people with anxiety, depression...", to me the implications immediately were a) she's not seeing psychotic people and b) she does probably have patients like me who have a personality disorder. Nobody in my family knows I have bpd. She then went on to say how the "people who are the worst have personality disorders" and it wasn't said in a way of "the worst issues they have is X", but "those who behave the worst". That was such a weird experience. She for some reason thinks very highly of me. She will talk about my successes rather than her children's (because her children are not as successful academically) to other people. But there she was, saying that the people with issues similar to mine are "the worst".

I'm surprised plain M&Ms are #4. I find them pretty meh. Peanut M&Ms are the way. I like almonds, but the almond M&Ms weren't it either.

I like the occasional Little Debbie.

Fritos are good, but so salty.

The Matthew Perry news surprised me. He's only a few years older than me.

Got 4 more rows done on my shawl this evening; I'll probably finish it tomorrow evening after I get off work. What an enjoyable pattern, now that I have it figured out! (for size comparison, it's laid out on a queen size bed here and along the top, it almost touches both sides of the bed.) I was intimidated by this pattern for a good while; I'm so glad I finally decided to try it.

My neighbors are having a party tonight. The husband came over and told my h earlier, and apologized in advance for the loud music and promised they'd wrap it up by 3am. I'm like um, did you mention to him that I have to start work at 6am Sunday? He said no. Gee thanks, dear. Oh well, I can always take a nap on my lunch break I suppose. One of the benefits of working at home. We have an extremely quiet neighborhood usually; with the exception of when there's a train on the nearby tracks. I'll deal with it, since he was nice enough to come over and let us know. If I had any vacation time available, I'd have taken tomorrow off but I don't have any right now so, oh well! I have some melatonin in the medicine cabinet so maybe I'll take a dose before I go to bed so I'll have a chance to sleep through it anyway.

Perry’s health wasn’t good due to his drug addiction.

I know he was only 54, but my father died younger than that—I guess I expect people to die young as a result.

I was around 16 when the final episode came out. It did feel like the end of an era then as whilst I wasn't a super fan- I did watch a few episodes out of order.

It's my besties favourite comfort show.

I'm already feeling much better today, but I'll still talk about it with my T. I know he'll be supportive, he doesn't seem to buy into the stereotype thing too much. It mainly just sucked to randomly be ambushed by somebody else's thoughts on your issues without being able to say something back.

Ugh I wish I'd never opened that stupid box of candy bars on Friday. I've eaten two of them today and now I feel sick. Blergh. I just put the rest of them in the freezer hopefully that will keep me from eating any more.

54 is so young. I hadnt even found this website yet. Of course, 18 yrs ago, did youtube even exist yet? I mean, i havent done a LOT in my older years, but a lot sure has happened. I guess i live in my head a lot. Like i watched all The Rifleman's, which i wasnt allowed to watch as a child, because my parents thought it was gay, no lie. What did they think was going ON back then?!

My SIL passed just before COVID started, and my feeling is its just as well, she was so anxious she would not have survived the stress of the pandemic, let alone an infection. And there were things that happened that over the past 30 yrs or so that i thought, oh i am glad my dad did not live to see that, although now i cant remember specifically what brought me to think that.

ETA - Artie - eat some protein! A burger, a can of tuna fish, some hard boiled eggs! You are just hungry, and you are allowed to eat, but sugar will not satisfy you, trust me.

Let's see I'm 61 now so 54 was only 7 years ago for me... while I'm doing math - that also means I've been seeing L since I was 49. holy crap on a cracker. That oughta be impetus enough to finally stop for good.
