All I had on my face book photos were of me when I weighed 190. So I posted a pic of me yesterday and everyone was blown away... it felt so good.

Congrats! It feels good to have others remark on it.

I have been quiet about my loss on FB because I wasn't quiet 4 years ago when I lost it before. I may post soon though, as I am down in the neighborhood of where I was 4 years ago. I starved myself to spike lower but never maintained a weight below 175.

I went over my points yesterday because I couldn’t sleep for anxiety so I got hungry and had to have another snack. My go to is plain Cheerios, skim milk, and stevia sweetener. I also had an egg McMuffin for breakfast because I forgot to eat before I went to babysit my niece, so I was starving when I left and had other errands to run. So I was seven points over which isn’t so bad. Today I’ll come in at my points assuming I have eggs for a snack and a smoothie.

My son’s favorite restaurant, friendly’s, had a pipe burst and is closed until further notice. They have to gut it and completely renovate. Not gonna lie, I was happy when I heard that! There is NOTHING healthy at friendly’s at all!! Even their salad with grilled chicken is thirteen points, BEFORE dressing which is four points. So at least I don’t have to contend with going there for awhile!

My husband and I drink 2 times a month. 2 days ago was our drinking night. I didn't drink. I don't think you should drink while you are fasting. And I didn't want the empty calories. I love our drinking nights so it was hard for me to say no, but I did it!
And I did't want to mess with my new found stability.

I’ve been craving red velvet cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. I’m planning to work it into my points tomorrow. Light breakfast and lunch, and then I’ll take my son out for dinner. I’ll order a healthy dinner from the light menu but then indulge in the cheesecake. Gotta have some treats. I have a different attitude right now that it’s ok to have a treat but not totally binge. I’ve done well so far this week staying at my daily points so I have enough weekly points to indulge. Not drinking this week either so that will help.

So far I had a scrambled eggs breakfast, a pineapple yogurt smoothie, tomatoe bisque soup, and a half a serving of banana cream pie. I may have spaghetti for dinner if I am up to it. Otherwise I will have two tuna fish sandwiches.

I finally saw a good surgeon and surgery is Feb. 15. I'm supposed to keep up with the sort-of nausea/pain controlling diet I've been on for 2 months and since that is carb upon carb I can just hope to not gain more weight.

I don't care so much as I want my gall bladder out but the weight loss hiatus is frustrating. I pass days that I know would be "permission to cheat" days, like my birthday this week, and instead I eat another Jello cup.

But at least I have Jello cups and crackers and ginger ale.

I had a cheat day yesterday. First one I've had in a month. And I actually lost a pound. Weird! My cheat day consisted of half a piece of fried chicken, a bowl of chicken noolde soup and a granola bar an two shots of whiskey.
Before that I had been fasting for 5 days. Not a great way to break a fast, I know.

174.0 this morning; another small drop. I didn't eat enough yesterday and ended up about 270 calories short of goal; I should have eaten an ounce of pecans before bed.

I am about to give up my whole milk yogurt in the morning as LDL just came back at 116. Yogurt is about the only saturated fat I eat regularly. So I will have to switch to fat free and have some oatmeal also, plus Metamucil between meals. Supposedly adding whole grain oats/wheat (if you haven't been eating it regularly before, which I had not) and Metamucil (or some other source of psyllium) can reduce LDL over 20% in a month. That would get me under 100, back in the normal range. So another twist to my diet.

I had about 1800 calories today. My weight, according to my scale, is 175. I think my scale does not provide an accurate weight measurement. I will continue to use my scale until I am convinced that I need to replace it with a more accurate one. The problem is finding one. Amazon?

If the scale is correct, then I need to consume more calories. Part of this will be more food. It looks like I should eat at least 2300 calories. So this is my target. I can survive a little weight gain to determine if the 2300 calorie target works. Now there is one other possibility. I may be eating less calories when I am not tracking my calorie intake. I have been doing this intermittently. Maybe I need to start tracking this on a daily basis.

BTW I found a very accurate scale on Amazon. However, it is small. My size 11 feet will have a couple inch overhang. Does anybody think this scale will still provide accurate for me?

I think it would be fine. Your weight is on the heels and ball of the foot; toes hanging off don't matter. Have you tried weighing multiple times with your current scale? Most modern digital scales are pretty accurate or at least consistent. You do have some pretty big swings.

I weight 146. My goal is to get down to 130. I've lost over 40 pounds and I am very proud of that. Just counting calories. I tried slimfast, but there is too much sugar in those shakes. I eat pretty healthy now and my body thanks me for it.

Always good to have your opinion. There was a couple times it was not consistent. I think it works by measuring the weight multiple times before indicating that what is displayed is the actual weight. Lately it has not been able to settle on a weight and blink the light when the display has stabilized. This was not the case in the past. This will be the third scale that I have purchased over the past several months. This time I read the the ratings on Amazon before purchasing. Since I purchased it from Amazon, I have a month to return it. Also it has a one year warranty. The maker of this scale claims that during that year, if I am not satisfied with the scale, I can return it directly to the company.

Decided to go to a different restaurant today. Had grilled chicken, the salad bar, and steamed broccoli. I had a fruit smoothie for breakfast and I slept through lunch . If I don’t stay up too late tonight I will come in at my points for the day. Which is great. Hoping to stay in for lunch tomorrow and then order domino’s for dinner, but just the garlic bread twists and cinnamon bread twists. No pizza, it’s too hard to enter in weight watchers and I’ll be tempted to eat too much of it. If I get too antsy being in the house we will go out for lunch and I’ll eat leftovers for dinner. My mom bought a ham to make on Sunday. She’s going to do a root beer glaze but if I don’t have much of the glaze I should be good. Very interested to see my weight Monday morning. I’m hoping I’ll be down a pound.

Today was one of those days where I came in at goal - maybe. I had 2 cups of hot and sour soup and about a half a cup of shrimp fried rice. Entries for both of those are all over the place so I picked ones that were about average. Not too worried; I came in a bit low the last couple of days.

Averaging 3864 steps a day so far this month which the tracking app computes to be 156 calories more per day that I burn compared to being sedentary. Gives me a little more wiggle room if calories are off.
