I ate something so I took off the 3 pints of ice cream on my shopping list and just stuck with the miracle pasta, lipton tea, and protein shakes. Never do grocery shopping when hungry.

Pouring rain so I did pilates this morning. I do like the way my body feels after doing pilates. The video I did had a killer arm set near the end, but I guess if you're feeling it you're working your muscles Did planks as well.

@Blueberrybook sorry to read you and your husband have also suffered with sciatica, glad surgery helped him. My supervisor also had surgery on his discs a few years ago, he still gets flares but not as bad, he’s recommending I push for a scan but tbh I avoid Drs where I can. I can’t believe how quickly it’s gone this time and think I’m lucky as one time during the pandemic I had it over 6 months.

Do you feel like the Pilates has reduced your sciatica incidence?

Easy slow 5k recovery run, I started it off with Wouldn’t it be Nice by the Beach Boys, thanks for the music Brian Wilson.

@Discombobulated - I'm not sure if it's pilates or just walking but my sciatica hasn't flared up for awhile now; I'm grateful for that! And I've only had 1 fibromyalgia flare in the past 6 months or so which has been awesome!

I’ve just injected Wegovy. I will cherish this dose because I have to go on a lower dose because of finances. My gp told me to ask my pharmacist to just give me ozempic because it’s a fraction of the price and the exact same thing.

It definitely does work in terms of curbing your appetite but remember you must be disciplined. I had morning headaches every day for the first 2-3 weeks that stopped with paracetamol. The headaches eventually stopped. Remember you MUST inject on a different side each week alternating left with right. I’d suggest writing down on the box which side you injected on. The Wegovy needle comes with 2 protective caps. You peel the first one off and then twist off the second cap. Remember to hold the injection for a count of 6 after you have injected and the spinner has stopped spinning. It seems daunting at first, but the instructions have step by step pictures to guide you through the injecting process. It says you can inject on your thigh or stomach. I always inject stomach because I’ve got a good layer of fat there lol.

Hitch, thanks! I have a shipment of Tylenol coming! I inject insulin nightly for two years now so yeah learning how to inject was definitely intimidating at first.

I lost 5 lbs since my last checkup 6 mos ago, so i was like at this rate, i will have to live to 120! Okay, not quite, but i would love to just be overweight, not obese. It would be so much easier to do stuff.

I inject in the thighs because I read somewhere that doing so reduces GI side effects of semaglutide. The traces of injections look nasty on my thighs, but I do not wear mini skirts, ha!

I have an online weight watchers app membership, and they have a very interesting option for glp1 users. In addition to Ww "points", they track your protein, "greenery", and water, in rings like an apple watch. Protein gms calc'd per your weight (never lower than 60), 4 or 5 fruit and veg, and 64 oz water. I didnt even realize it was there, and you dont have to get your drugs from them to use it.

It sounds like basically a post bariatric surgery diet tracker.

I'm battling with the treadmill today. I did 10 minutes. Food wise I've just been grazing again. Nothing particuarly bad. A lot of watermelon and a package of Buddig lunch meat and and a cup of yellow rice. I had half a chocolate payday and 5 of those Goya cookies.

I'm trying to just sit with my hunger and be all like "its ok to be hungry." And all that crap they teach you in Noom.

I took a long power walk today and jogged a little too. The jogging was broken up but I probably jogged close to 1.5 miles. Granted my jogging speed is pretty slow, but I was happy I could jog without hip pain once again. And I did planks. I got an earlier start so it wasn’t quite as hot as usual (though I still was very sweaty when I got in!).

Last night I went out to dinner. We never do dinner. I ate half my noodles I was too full for a full portion.

Possible trigger:

By some miracle I’d lost 200g this morning
Possible trigger:

Will go to a cafe mid morning after my son’s swimming lessons and have a salad.

A nice drizzly 7k this morning along the sea front, much cooler although that north wind is back on the coast. I’m happy with how my training is going and I’m not tracking any of it with tech this time.

Im so happy for you @Blueberrybook that you jogged without hip pain! Maybe you got the pace just right?

I started back on the amitripilaine or however you spell it for my stomach pain and its working good for my pain and I think its starting to work decently for my anxiety. But I am getting really hungry. I did 5 minutes on my treadmill so far and my hunger has been fine today. But It was tough yesterday.

Dewed - not to give medical advice but! I just googled it and it says tofu is considered a safe protein for kidney issues.

You could crumble it up into your rice, for instance. It really is flavorless. I get the sanipak from amazon so i never have to worry about it going bad (except the current open pack, of course). This stuff helps me with hunger, tons. I also like it with fruit. I pretend i made ambrosia!

@Crazy Hitch - Sometimes you have to enjoy yourself with food and indulge. If you don't, you just feel deprived and are more likely to binge eat junk. Anyway, I do eat food I enjoy and healthy foods I enjoy rather than healthy foods I don't enjoy or that leave me feeling deprived. Of course, I exercise a lot so I can eat quite a few more calories than the average woman my age.

@Discombobulated - I don't know if it was the pace that let me jog without hip pain or possibly better shoes as I got new Sketchers with much more cushioning than I'm used to not that long ago (maybe around a month ago?). At any rate I'm not complaining.

I barely made it in from my 7.5 mi power walk/jog. I jogged some in the beginning then more and more towards the end because it started raining then pouring. I more or less sprinted (well for me as my running speed it slow, it's probably a slow run for most runners) home the last 0.5 mi and was absolutely soaked when I got in! We have been getting quite a lot of rain lately.

I heard this story on the news that tofu can be dangerous to eat? I'm not sure why they said that.

Theres this stuff called Miracle Pasta and its some kinda pasta thats just 10 calories per bag.

I'll try tofu.

Thinks have still been ok. I got a bag of frozen zucchini and a Healthy Choice broccoli chicken alfredo to eat later.

Yeah people go back and forth over whether its an estrogen replacer problem or not. But then other people say, the japanese eat so much tofu, why hasnt a problem shown up there? Japanese only have issues when they start eating an american diet.

You can get a single sanipack at the grocery store. Its soft and smooth like yogurt almost, only you can cut or crumble it

Idk for sure but I’ve heard tofu should be limited or avoided if you have had oestrogen sensitive tumours but otherwise I think it’s considered a good low fat protein source.

Today breakfast was rice, miracle pasta, and cheese. Then I ate 5 Nestle ice cream sandwhiches throughout the day but they were small. I also had 2 packs of Buddig turkey. It was about 1800 calories. I mean my stomach was calm all day.

I think I could technically afford Wegovy now but my stomach wouldn't be able to handle the GI side effects. My Pdoc, pcp, and GI have all mentioned GLP1s and GI issues. I actually think my insurance might cover it with my heart disease. But again. GI stuff.
