I make my own chili...but I cheat.. I use cans of tomato soup and a package of McCormick chili mix ....

Not being funny here.... do spices get too old to use?

Cumin and chili powder and a bay leaf usually turn tomato sauce into a chili tasting experience, in my experience. Yum!

I just added a bunch more chili powder and cumin...and more of the other spices. It gave it a different taste now. Good enough. It was my first stab at it.

That's quite a good answer, but I don't think your friend would have been very reassured.

Incidentally, it's the sort of answer people complain about when they get it from their Ts.

I had an old container of garlic powder that clumped up. Formed into a really hard ball. I'm not sure if thats considered too old to use. lol

I'm either so proud of myself or completely insane, but I managed to answer my cell phone when my parents called and I knew it was them. I talked to my dad.... but now that he is stopping by to bring me left over turkey and a dog bed my sister left for me at their house... I'm questioning what I am thinking...

The only good thing is my dad and my dog don't get along so at least I know my dad won't come in the house...

being around my dad (by myself without a group of people around) makes me so anxious...

Hey Stopdog, I know you have mentioned not liking when people respond with telling someone what they should be doing or (I can't remember the second thing)...

Can you give examples? It would help me to know what that is other than starting out with "You need to ....."

Hi lonelybychoice,

I saw your post. I questioned that I am or one of the offenders that you are distressed by, since I have decided to confine my post to threads, Dear T and Roll Call, and mundane ones. They are two great threads. If these are the what use to be threads, as a new comer it would be helpful to know what PC protocol is for these threads. And when you say the threads were "hijacked" does that mean one should limit their post, not respond, etc? If that needs to happen I'm on board.

I have done two threads, both open to criticism - which I have to expect.
In one I asked one of the poster about not responding to a card, and then another poster accusing me of alterior motives, wanting "people" to praise me, when I only said that to "one" person. And, because asking one person she mentioned BDP behavior. I just don't get it, and open to explanations for what pertains to me.

I am glad people are speaking about not being safe on the forum, I am one of them. There has Been PM discussion about it since ive been here. That's why I try not to put people down for their views, and try to mostly "I" statements. Any response you or others on this couch I'm open to listening, and learning.
Thanks for this!

I feel unsafe here because it feels to me as if there a number of people who feel that their pain is the WORST ever. No one else could possibly be in as much pain as them. No one else has suffered as much, etc. That feels horrible to me. When they are expressing negative emotions about themselves even, it's always, EVERYONE hates ME. I am the WORST person EVER. I just have a lot of trouble dealing with that. And then when I express a fear or concern, I have gotten slammed (in my opinion). Once for wanting too much from my H for example. And yet these people on PC going on these borderline rants get huge amounts of attention and coddling. It's hugely triggering for me and I hate how it makes me feel about people on here and about myself, so I avoid it by not starting many threads.

Hi GTGT

I didnīt have you specifically in mind ( perhaps a dynamic in some threads/postings). Back to page 40. Some already did a great job explaning this...So no I donīt single you out or whatever....

Question is.. why did you feel like this had something to do with you...only you..Sigh...?...

I agree with the poster above...It is exhausting reading.." I am in pain, no one on the forum likes me I donīt belong here until I get attention ect. ... Followed by a ..oh well T and I had a laugh about this. ( You are an adult IRL with a child right??)
Enough..I am gonna lurk those hot chilli recepies

Ps: The word "offender" maybe a bit overkill as how I view people on this forum. I have had enough trauma and offenders IRL..please donīt invalidate my traumatic experienses that by thinking you are an " offender". Thank you! Again as you wrote somewhere else...Itīs not all about you to someone elses postings.
Best of wishes with your healing at some point.

I'm not sure I'm someone who really fits here, on the forums at all. I'm not a really regular poster and guess I'm a bit of an outsider all-round. I am pretty shy, even posting in a fairly anonymous environment, and tend to post when things do get really bad for me. Although often others let me know, maybe sometimes I can't tell if anyone hears me, but sometimes it almost doesn't matter. It helps to put things out there, somewhere in the big wide world. I'm really sensitive to making other people feel bad so if I ever said something wrong, even for one person, I'd always be happy to know. At least in these larger threads, it doesn't matter so much if I'm not popular, or if I'm shy, or quiet. It's quite nice if my comments get lost amongst pages of other.

I guess I just wanted to offer my alternative view of these types of threads. They've helped me...

The couches look nice. I have pretty much confined my furniture to the kind with wooden arms and frames due to the cats.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
