I did my 7.5 mi power walk this morning except I jogged some of it, probably around 2.5 mi., most of which was broken up, but I did jog a 1.5 mi stretch straight. I definitely will be sore from it tomorrow. It's just I got a late start today and was feeling pretty good, so I thought, "Why not jog a bit?" I didn't mean to jog quite so much; I'm bad a regulating myself when it comes to exercise. I did some planks, and I really, really need to do stretching this afternoon.

@Discombobulated - You are really getting in some good runs! @Tart Cherry Jam That treadmill class sounds awesome! I don't get to walk on much of an incline here being as the land is flat and not much above sea level. I do miss being able to do inclines on the treadmill back when I belonged to a gym. Though I do like outside walking much better than using the treadmill except when the weather is way too cold.

Doubled my dose of Wegovy this morning. I’m now on 1ml. Hoping it doesn’t make me lightheaded as I was slightly lightheaded on 0.5ml very occasionally though!

I went to the swimming pool for the first time since July 6 of last year. It is a heated outdoor pool. I did not swim today but walked in the shallow water – most of the lane except its outer end is not deep end so that you would not be able to walk.

I walk mostly sideways and occasionally backwards. Walking in these unusual ways is useful, as it engages the otherwise dormant muscles. Further, the resistance of water tones all the muscles, so it is good for you, but also relaxing and fun.

I did it for a whole hour. I plan to come every Wednesday evening, alternating between swimming and walking sessions. For swimming, I need to search for my swimming cap at home first.

I also walked enough today to now see 7K in my Oura app – a decent enough step count. This does not count walking in the pool as I took my ring off and hid it in my backpack.

Oh, I wish I had a swimming pool @Tart Cherry Jam!

I did my usual walk today, saw a lot of egrets in a yard, pretty unusal as they tend to stick closer to the water (not that we are very far from a drainage slough that connects to a nature bayou), but it's still unusual. Did some plank practice too. Best of all I am only a tad bit sore from jogging yesterday, nothing that really slowed me down today; I was concerned I would be extremely sore from that jogging.

I ate a good breakfast but I'm lagging this afternoon so I just had a few pretzels for lunch. I'm not sure on dinner.

I had one of my peanut butter jelly Lunchables and a few more pretzels for dinner. I'm eating some sweet pepper rings now.

Swimming pool is so wonderful to have around. There used to be more opportunities for warm water swimming indoors (so no worries about sunscreen), but the closest one closed down permanently about 10 years ago and the farther one emerged from the pandemic closure with limited hours and I cannot take advantage of that pool since I work regular hours. The outdoor pool is open will into the evenings and on weekends.

Today I have vertigo since morning and had to stay in bed.

I walked a lot yesterday in the woods near my sister’s home which was nice, but ended up with a migraine (heat is a trigger for me) and had to take meds last night.

Wasn’t sure about running this morning but went out for a slow one, I was down in energy but it was okay and 6k in the end. I’m cautious about running now when I’m tired as that’s when trips happen but running on tired legs is part of half marathon training as those legs will get tired over 13.1 miles and pushing on is part of it.

@Discombobulated Yes, you are definitely right to be cautious when running on tired legs. That's usually when I trip too, near the ends of runs or walks. But way to go getting a 6K in! Heat is not easy for me either even though I live in a hot, humid environment.

I took a long power walk this morning, nearly 8 mi.! I didn't think it would be that long but I was feeling pretty good and I won't be walking much next week due to having a slew of early appts. and having to take my daughter to a very early AP test at the local high school one of the days.

I'm hungry today. I ate a can of asaparagus and a can hearts of palm pasta for dinner which were good calorie wise but were bad sodium wise.

I had a lot of fruit too and a couple peanut butter jelly Lunchables and a few black sesame brown rice crackers. I also got a souffle from Panera

I did 629 reps with my ab roller.

Oura shows a walking equivalence of 8 miles today, but I was only running errands, shopping l, and tidying up inside the apartment. I think it misinterpreted higher heart rate from my going to the sauna for higher heart rate due to cardiovascular exercise.

Instead of eating berries and a PB&J for breakfast I ate a piece of carrot cake and I am in a good mood and not a crazy ragey hungry monster like I was all day yesterday.

I know you need to eat for your physical health but I guess my therapist wasn't totally making it up when she said you need to eat for your mental health too.

I did 410 reps with my ab roller this morning.

They are probably almost equivalent choices, if you look at the macros and calories. They both have flour and sugar and fat, some protein, and some fiber from fruit or vegetable.

For Mother’s Day yesterday they were taking photos. I feel I still look fat in photos even though I lost 10kg. His mother is TINY so standing next to her you’d look huge. Big sigh. I don’t want to look fat in my wedding pics next April. I still have time to get serious about it.

Hope you all had a good Mother’s Day if you’re celebrating

This morning, I did my usual 7 mi power walk and practiced planks. It was actually cool for this time of year, right around 60F.

@Crazy Hitch You may not want to hear it, but you might need to exercise to tone up even once you have gotten to your ideal weight. It sucks but it takes exercise to tighten and tone up those muscles and get that smaller looking appearance you are going for. I'd really encourage you to start some form of exercise even if it's just walking. Well, and you said you've got a treadmill available too right? Even just 20, 30 min. a day on that will help make a difference. And you do need to plan for what to do once you go off the Wegovy, how to maintain the weight loss and the way to do that is through diet and exercise.

Went to Orangetheory 3G session. Apparently 3G means all three modalities: rowing on a water rower, strength exercises on the floor, and treadmill.

1 orange minute

23 Green minutes

25 blue minutes

I know by now that the only way for my to earn splat point, i.e., orange and red minutes, is to go to Tread only sessions, because on the rower, I can only get to Green level of intensity. But I really liked the versatility of 3G and today's floor exercises, most of them with a BOSU trainer, were engaging and hard in a good way. I liked them so much that I plan to borrow a BOSU in order to decide if it is worth buying it, i.e., if I will find an unobtrusive way to store it in my 2-1 unit and if I manage to exercise on it at home frequently.

And the most delightful part was taking a cold shower at Orangetheory right after the workout. The eater wasn't icy, but still, I made it and I enjoyed it.

Wise words @Blueberrybook....

I haven't thought about what I do when I'm off Wegovy because I'm not ready to cross that bridge just yet because I still have another 10 kilos to go ....

Crazy Hitch, why are you planning to go off Wegovy 10 kgs down later? Is that due to budget constraints?

I went off my diet fot 2 days and I was still working out, but I went from 219-228 in just 2 days.

Yeah this is why I don't have cheat days.

Idk because I was counting calories and working out pretty good and my stomach was pretty much fine besides that one night. But maybe.

I first weighed myself at 3:30AM and then I got up again around 9 and I weighed myself and I was 225. So it wasn't quite as bad as 3:30AM.

I'm not making any sense I know.

I did 4 minutes on my walking pad before giving up.

I had a super early mammogram appt. this morning, so I didn't have time to walk. I decided to give pilates a shot. I did a gentle beginner's pilates video (one I knew did not do side or high planks) and my wrist made it through just fine Though my wrist is still healing...I still feel it doing certain things, it's very annoying, it's slowly getting better, but slow is the operative word here. I have lost a bit of weight due to doing a lot of walking, so it will be nice to rotate in some pilates now and then.
