I am home and the guy who picked me up from the airport noticed that I'd lost weight. So it was not just my subjective impression. We will see what the weigh-in tomorrow morning will show. I am curious.

I definitely ate things I would never eat at home. Whatever was served - croissants, ice cream cake, salty sausages. It will be quite funny if indeed I lost weight on that 'diet."
I will post tomorrow morning to share.

I ate around 11:30AM yesterday and then I had something at midnight. Not sure if its from getting off the med or something else. But my cravings are gone for right now.

@Blueberrybook yes I think I was probably dehydrated too, and I’m coming off propranolol which I learned can also raise cholesterol so you’ve raised some good points. They score your cardiovascular disease risk out of 100 and mine was 2.5% so overall I’m not going to worry if they aren’t.

Out for a 7k this morning and it was windy, but at least the wind was warm!

@Blueberrybook I’m just focusing on getting the miles in, no speed work at all these days (I used to years ago when I was in a running club but I found it stripped the joy for me). Finish lines not finish times is my mantra.
I was going to comment on this earlier and completely forgot. I too find focusing on upping my running pace just makes running no fun for me at all. Sometimes I do run a bit faster, sometimes a bit slower but it's never intentional, more the result of the energy I have starting the run and how tired my legs are.

This morning, I knew I needed to slow the exercise down. My body was just exhausted from power walking and jogging in the heat & humidity for several days one after the other the past week. I did a beginner pilates video from the Move with Nicole series (again, a fantastic free series all levels of pilates on YouTube that I cannot recommend enough). This video was a bit harder than the beginner gentle pilates videos she does; it had you holding in a squat as well as a plank series where you tap alternate knees to the floor while holding in the high plank. But I love her videos especially as they always end in a series of stretches at the end of the workout.

Does catching 2 cats and getting them in their carriers and needing to take apart the bed in the process count as a workout?

Breakfast and lunch were good. Not sure yet on what I'll eat for dinner.

I bought the most delicious yogurt yesterday but I have a feeling it’s loaded with sugar so I just have 3 teaspoons when I want something sweet.

You might be able to make your own healthier version with plain yogurt and fruit?

I never thought of that option. I believe you can buy yoghurt makers. I’ll look into it!

I’ve lost 600g. A loss is a loss. Really hoping to meet my gps goal of 4kg this time. This coming week I plan on eating salad with a variety of tuna and then on a different day smoked salmon or smoked chicken or something

My weight loss app is like a version of the show Secret Eaters. I ate 17% more calories this week then last week. And I thought I was eating a lot less.

I also ate 30% more cholestrol, 22% less protein, 4% more saturated fat, 14% more sodium, and 9% more sugar then I did last week.

It said to keep eating more blueberries, juice like V8 and cranberry, and yogurt. I eat less on those days apparently. And I need to stay away from sweets, and pretzels and sugary drinks.

When I was paying close attention, I noticed that the same mfr offered two selections of yogurt. One was low fat which had three times the sugar content of the plain version. Low Fat typically means high sugar. I like the taste of Yoplait, but it tastes good because it has high sugar content. It really helps to read the ingredient label. I have come to the conclusion that fat is not the enemy. Sugar is the enemy. And "added sugar" is the real culprit.

Yeah, I’m also very wary of sugar free things too as they’re normally full of sweeteners which carry more health risks I believe. Plain yogurt is pretty tasty especially with fruit (if you microwave frozen berries it’s kind of like a Muller fruit corner without the added stuff).

Work day and no exercise for me but just wanted to share my adult son did his first 10k event today and loved it, he’s buzzing. I couldn’t be happier for him - he lost 3 stone last year with better eating and pretty intense exercise, all his own hard work. I’ve got to admit I was worried about him when he was heavier but so pleased he made different choices. He even did a sprint finish today- awesome!

Ive been doing Oikos triple zero yogurts. They seem pretty clean to me. A lot of yogurts used to drive me mad and i would eat like 3 or 4 in a row, i think due to some weird sugar in them, fake or real.

Funny i was just thinking this morning that i was never a "yogurt for breakfast" person like you see on tv, like on 600 lb life. It just wasnt filling. But now taking ozempic, it seems to work. Im on week 3, 5mg. I was trying to stay on 2.5 mg, but i was STARVING thursday, friday (shotday), and saturday a.m., so saturday - 24 hrs later - i gave myself another 2.5 mg. I feel NORMAL now.

I am definitely getting addicted to this new normal. Reading im getting that overeating was searching for a dopamine fix, so i think i need to use this time to fix my life so i can get that other ways, like hobbies, instead of living in lazy overwhelming squalor.

That is what I do: I microwave frozen peach slices and frozen blackberries or raspberries and eat them in a nice chaud frois manner with chilled Greek yogurt. I buy 2% single serving yogurts at Trader Joe's.

I do not know what Muller fruit corner is. Might it be a UK brand?

It is funny how depr session changed our perc option. I normally live yogurt with microwaved frozen fruit, but lately I have been depressed and I eat it because it is filling, without any hedonic enjoyment.

I made it to Orangetheory. 27 Green minutes and 21 blue minutes. I feel less depressed. I will also do stretching today and then a gentleman will come for bedroom cardio (someone I have been seeing that way, from time to time, for over 5 years, but the initial mutual attraction struck us 20 years ago when we were both married).

I did an easy jog today, 8.5 mi and it really wasn't much work at all after the first mile and until the last half mile. Guess that day of pilates yesterday was beneficial all around though I did wake up with sore quads from the squat segment!

As far as yogurt goes, greek yogurt can be sweetened with honey (and if you buy local honey it helps with some outdoor allergies in your area). I usually buy frozen mango, defrost it overnight and add it to 2% Greek yogurt with a bit of honey. Now because I burn a lot of calories most days I add some granola and unsweetened shredded coconut to it. It makes a delicious breakfast or even snack.

So Oura ring showed max HR on the treadmill was 129 and during bedroom cardio was 128. It is a wash. I would not say I fully exerted myself during either, though. I can do more
