I had to buy groceries today since I was out of everything. So I got a bunch of salads, yogurt, vegetables, and other stuff like orange juice and frozen zucchini waffles.

Basicaklly just stuff fit people eat.

I googled actors who have lost significant weight. 26 actors were recognized as being noticeably slimmer. I see where John Goodman has lost 200 lbs. All due to diet and exercise, of course. former Sec of State Mike Pompeo has lost significant weight. Again, diet and exercise. lol
I have noticed Charles Barkley is slimming down. He looks great. Someone told me he has been honest about taking a weight loss drug to help him. Obesity is a national epidemic. The government ought to step in and subsidize the cost of these weight loss drugs to help improve
the overall health of our population. Carrying an extra 100-200 lbs is a burden on the health care system, just like smoking cigarettes or doing meth. Obesity is epidemic, Type 2 diabetes is epidemic. Hypertension is epidemic. Heart disease is epidemic. It's all related.
Thanks for this!

I have downloaded a free app to guide me through Kegel exercises. It has ads, though. I did one set of exercises and the ads weren't too bothersome, but they may become so over time.

I went to the gym and spent 45 minutes on an Expresso upright stationary bike, doing 2 simulated rides. I think the first one was 2.7 miles and I am sure the second one was 4 miles. I listened to a podcast about the history of diagnosing and treating schizophrenia.

Then I walked for 15 minutes on a treadmill and then at home I walked in the neighborhood. My total exercise time today is 1 hr 33 minutes and I hit 10,000 steps.

That’s excellent Tart Cherry Jam!

I went to a cafe and had a chicken pumpkin salad. It was rather average. Not much flavour. I’ll have 2 boiled eggs for dinner this evening / a snack. I tend to not have full meals at dinner time. My main meal tends to be lunch.

I went grocery shopping today for work. Next wee I’ll be eating tuna and avocado salads for lunch at work and snacking on cheese slices. High in calories so it’s about watching my portion sizes.

Also got an appointment with my gp for another ozempic script. I’m keen to tell her I’ve met her 4kg weight loss goal this time because last month I didn’t meet it unfortunately and she wasn’t too happy about it.

The appeal for Mounjaro got denied. I still have a stash of Ozempic and I have started looking into what options of paying for Ozempic out of pocket I will have when that stash comes to an end. I am doing fine on Ozempic, so I do not want to pay extra cash for Mounjaro.

A 8k in the mist for me this morning, short on time so didn’t do a 10k as I’d hoped. Got very damp in that mist and not nice for breathing.

I’ve got a couple of days away coming up so diet and exercise won’t be top of the agenda.

I accidently sleep ate 12 cookies in my sleep. Which was about 1,140 calories. I guess I'm just screwed for the day. I've had cucumbers since.

Sorry, I'm behind posting here. I've done 2 days of gentle pilates videos. Yesterday, to recover from my jog the previous day and then today because my 2 sisters and a had our annual Sisters Day where we do something just with the 3 of us, no husbands or kids. We went to a rainforest pyramid/Aquarium theme park thing. There was a ton of walking, so I didn't want to overdo it beforehand with hard exercise. I also know even fun occasions like this stress me out already and that pilates would be better for me emotionally before going. We had fun, but I'm exhausted now!

Today was not a day for workouts for me - appointments, shopping, being tired from driving didn't leave an opportunity for exercise. But I walked 6500 steps and did Kegels using my mobile app twice today. The goal stated by the app is to do them thrice a day.

I’ve made my salad for lunch at work tomorrow. Taking my tuna and avocado with me. Determined to continue this healthy eating plan at work. My fridge is full of salad ingredients.

Hope you get benefits from the kegels, my app is thrice a day too, and I get a little chart which I find a good incentive. Been using mine 10 months and definitely been an improvement, I just didn’t motivate to do them before and they’re so important.

I try to do Kegels but I'm never motivated to, and @Discombobulated is right; they are important!

I went for a long jog this morning, around 8 mi. at a good steady pace the whole way, and I walked around 0.5 mi back home to cool off. I started a lot earlier too, in the dark and it is so much easier for me to run when the sun is not out or is low in the sky and not too bright and too hot yet. It felt good to jog after 2 days off from running. I need to keep incorporating the pilates workouts between running as it helps my jogging when I take a day or 2 off from it.

Thank you, Disco! Your post reminded me of the Kegel app today. I did one round of exercises and plan to do one more before bedtime

I also stretched today and walked, including through the farmers' market. My step count is 5600.

Weight Loss and Exercise #7

Away from home and a nice short walk out by the river this morning with my husband, not fast or very far but certainly good for the soul. Having a restful day today.

Hope posting a picture works and hopefully it’s not upside down as sometimes this seems to happen when I upload here.

@Discombobulated Restful days are nice. I don't see a picture though?

This morning I jogged 6 mi. I started later than usual because I slept an hour later than normal this morning. I wanted to go for 7 mi, but it was just getting too hot. At any rate, I'm glad I came in when I did because once inside I realized I was much hotter than I'd initially thought and I could have been in trouble if I'd kept going. I will be glad for cooler weather in the fall!

Personal training today. My core is getting stronger and I am so happy with that. In the past, core exercise was much harder for me than leg and arm exercises, but not anymore. And I am starting to enjoy doing core exercises. It is sort of a success breeds success situation.

Also did Kegels twice today, with the app

I’m giving up on the photo! Not sure where I’m going wrong.

13 miles this morning first thing and it was warm, a lot of sweating. Now I’m drinking water and coconut water which I was told was a good natural electrolyte drink - it tastes pretty awful imo but I’ll get it down. Then I think I’ll make pancakes with fruit and yogurt.
