Yesterday I primarily walked to get somewhere and do something and only in the evening walked for 15 minutes for fitness and better sleep. Still, 10k steps was my step count for the day!

Today I will walk and also, if I make suffiicient progress in the presentation I am preparing for Tuesday morning, reward myself with a late evening Yin Yoga class.

Our weather is so volatile. Yesterday in the early afternoon I walked in a long sleeve t-shirt fabric blouse, but in late evening I had to put on a ... Puffer jacket!

Back to the diet this week.

I had quite a relaxed weekend.

French toast with bacon! Zero regrets.

Yin Yoga was so blissful. I should go to this Sunday evening class more often. The teacher created a majestic experience with flickering electronic candles in the otherwise dark room and with mysterious music. A perfect way to finish the weekend

I was 218 this morning. Yeah an now an 8 pound weight loss is good progress.

Idk about food today. Things are weird again. I kinda want to sleep again all day.

I'm glad they brought back peanut butter only Uncrustables. Those could be a life saver while I get things figured out

I don't drink coffeee anymore. I had one the other day. It was my first in awhile. I'm not in the mood for zero sugar soda because my stomach is off. So I've just had water to drink.

I weighed myself once more this morning and I was 217.8. I kinda need caffeine but anything but water won't help out. Carbonation sucks right now.

@Tart Cherry Jam 10K steps is fantastic I'm glad the yin yoga was relaxing. That sounds like a wonderful class!

I did my usual walk this morning since the weather is still nice and next week is going to be broken up with several appts. I know at least 2 are in the morning, and one morning I have to take my daughter to take an AP exam. I had better be good for pilates by then since pilates takes a lot less time.

I warmed up with 10 minutes on the upright elliptical before personal training and walked some. I then to and from the pharmacy to pick up Lybalvi. Now I need to work on the presentation. I need to finish it and practice at least a couple of times before delivering it tomorrow morning.

7k steps today. Not bad for a day when I worked and had a personal training session.

I got 8,607 steps today. Mostly from my walk to and from the movie theater. I was pretty inactive the majority of the day.

The treadmill in the building isn’t working so that sucks. It isn’t even turning on. So I’ll have to do my walking 100% outside now. I’m going to the theater again tomorrow and again Wednesday so that should get me a lot of steps this week. Plus in addition I also have to walk downtown tomorrow, and a walk to my therapists office on Friday. And a walk to the gas station on Saturday. And a walk to the dollar store on Sunday to buy some cat litter.

Thursday I’ll probably get a walk in before my volunteer shift which is also pretty physically active.

I got a Fitbit recently and I’ve been using it to track my steps. I like that this one auto detects what exercise you’re doing. On my walk today it automatically opened/started the walking exercise setting for the time I was walking. I like that it tracks sleep too because I really need to get my sleep better. Last night I got a score of 69 out of 100 which isn’t good at all. I slept a total of 6 hours. I know this isn’t really related to exercising but I’m also trying to work on lowering my overall stress in order to sleep better. So I’ve been using the sleep app Bettersleep which has a lot of sleep sounds and meditations on it.

I have started wearing my Fitbit again too but sometimes while exercising it will be off by at least a quarter mile from my phone. I use MapMyFitness which you can use to track distance, time, pace, etc. Not sure whether to believe the phone or the Fitbit. I think the phone might be more accurate as occasionally the Fitbit disconnects from the GPS even though I have it linked to my phone.

I'm kinda just lazy again with food. I had to fast for a bloodtest and I still haven't eaten much. Just a few safe to eat crackers. I took a look at the red lobster menu and thought the prices were a joke.

Yeah idk.

I did a LONG power walk this morning, nearly 8 mi, but I was feeling pretty good and just kept going. It's good I had 2 slices of zucchini bread for breakfast I do tend to have to eat a lot of calories to maintain my weight. I practiced planks as well, hope to do it again this afternoon.

Zucchini bread sounds great! I haven’t had that since I was a kid. My babysitter used to make it relatively often. I want to learn how to make it. That would be a fun project. That’s an awesome walk, your walks always inspire me. I have plans almost everyday this week so I’m gonna be getting a lot of walking in since all of those plans require walking somewhere and back.

As far as Fitbit accuracy idk. I have a smart watch too. And each of them they show a little different numbers cause I usually wear both at the same time. I don’t really care about the precise number I mostly use it to motivate myself. But anyway my phone tracks my steps too and also syncs with the Pikmin Bloom app /game which is constantly connected to your gps location on a map. So that’s another fun way to motivate myself

I warmed up for 20 minutes on the recumbent bike, lowest level, then did personal training, then 15 minutes on the treadmill on a very low setting. I also walked to pick up gifts from someone in my local Facebook Buy Nothing group. Now I have plenty of measuring cups and spoons. Time to get creative in the kitchen! Zucchini bread, maybe? I made it once, more than twenty years ago

With everything I have done today, my step count is 9500 and I might hit 10k before I go to bed

Zucchini bread sounds interesting Tart Cherry!

I had a good run this morning, not fast, just steady, mentally I felt like I was in the right place and I could visualise the half marathon. I followed the footpaths parallel to the new cycleway along the coast, they are a dream to run on, very smooth and even. Unfortunately there’s slow progress on the rest of the cycleway, it’s supposed to be done by September but they’re not in a hurry. Then I looped back on myself and ran home putting in an extra loop at the end, I estimated it was around 10k but checked out How Far Did I Run and it was almost 10.5k so I’m very happy with that especially as I felt good.

Food wise I’d be doing okay if my birthday chocolate hadn’t found it’s way out of the cupboard into my mouth but it’s in balance mostly.

Bacon and French toast sounds amazing Crazy Hitch!

I ate a piece of tiramasu yesterday but my weight was still low this morning since I watched what I ate throughout the day. So far today I ate 5 UTZ dark pretzels which were only 100 calories. They had a ton of sodium though which I need to watch. I wasn't hungry for breakfast but I wanted my meds to work and pretzels are on my ok list.

Not sure on the plan today. I got some bacon cheddar stuffed porkchops last night while I was ordering the tiramasu.

I've been too achy to workout

@Discombobulated That's quite a run! You should be proud of yourself!

I did a 7.3 mi power walk, was aiming for 7.5 mi, but scary lightning and progressively heavy rain chased me in, literally, I was jogging the last 1/4 mi. Of course, now it's hot, sunny, humid no rain in sight. I had breakfast and ended up picking up Starbucks for lunch - the egg white, spinach, feta wrap with a mocha frappucino. Def. got the calories in today considering I had zucchini bread for breakfast again. If I'm up for it, dinner will be tostadas, which pretty much are tacos but on a flat shell, not too hard, it's just my stupid period has me a bit wiped.

I felt better the more I woke up so I did 400 or so reps with my ab roller. I finished my container of strawberries from last night and I ate most of this pastry thing. I'm trying to eat a plate of cut up bell peppers and tomatos but I'm not really in the mood. I know they say to eat the rainbow though.

Not sure on dinner. I have stuff though.

I need to figure out dinner because I'm only around 1,140 calories and I worked out and left my house today.

Went to Orangetheory for a treadmill-only class. Earned 9 splat points – all orange, but I reached the red level for a few seconds. Really enjoyed the workout. They recommend getting at least 12 splat points, but I am slowly getting back there after that injury in October that took so long to heal.

Here is the workout for power walking.

Block one:

Incline 6%, cover 0.05 miles.

back to base (for me it was 3 mph, incline just 1%), wait for HR to lower

incline 5%, cover 0.1 miles

back to base

incline 5%, cover 0.15 miles

back to base

incline 4%, cover 0.2 miles

back to base

walking recovery for 1.5 minutes

reverse the above

walking recovery for 1.5 minutes

last push at incine = 10% or more. I set it to 10% and the speed was 3.2 mph

stretches
