Wk 8 shot for me. Had my first post-glp Shipt order rotisserie chicken lunch today, my first loaf of sourdough bread. Ate 2 legs and one wing (apparently a "differently abled" chicken!), and ate the two tiny half-slice butt ends of the loaf. Omg everything was so delicious.

Usually i inhale the legs, wings, and thighs. Also i did order the 8 piece baked rather than the whole bird, just idk because! And my first course was a bowl of watermelon. Nap time!

Do any of you start to get more hungry the day before the next shot or day of if you inject later in the day.
Thanks for this!

Yep. Somebody said the half-life is five days, so by the time for your next injection, the amount left in your bloodstream is getting low. Plus no way to dilute it, in case you are wondering.

I ate more bread after i took my shot. Boy it felt good to chew chewy bread again!! Good news is, i did not buy donuts, even though my shopper offered. I said i had an emergency stash of Fiber One bars! They satisfy my yearnings for chocolate cake and Cinnabons, for 70 calories.

Thanks Unaluna. I just want to be prepared to know what to expect right before the next one. I like bread but I keep that 647 bread handy and it helps diminish the craving for it. The 647 bread is not as good as regular bread so I think that helps to trick my mind into thinking I’m not missing anything. Haha.

That short period of time before the next shot is like - i have this moment of freedom, of heaven - i dont want to waste it, how shall i spend it?!

I think that is NOT an indicator of good mental eating health hygiene! But it certainly is helping me realize what my FEEEEEELINGS are.

Bad joke but Savannah on the Today Show said yesterday "I'm one stomach bug away from my goal weight." I went from 235 to 230 by working out and not feeling good

Some folks in the group mentioned they do their shot every 6 days to help not have to deal with the major hunger for the day/night. I just don’t know if I’m willing to mess with the system this early on. I’ve only had one shot so far. Aside from that I have to go to the clinic weekly to get mine so that might not even be something they allow.

Wasn’t sure I’d run this morning after feeling yucky time of the month yesterday, but I woke up early and felt fine so I went out for my 10k.

I ran it at a quicker pace than my long distance runs and it feels easier than it used to. Part of this is training but I think part of it is coming off propranolol a few months ago - it always felt like I had the breaks on while taking that but I was never sure if it was just ageing or not.

I’ve eaten a lot of fish this week, I think that’s helping too, at this rate I’ll swim across the river at the end of the half marathon!

I do not get hungrier the day before my next Ozempic shot is due. But what happened to me last year when I was on Mounjaro and ran out of refills during the Thanksgiving break when my physician assistant was not reachable was the following: my blood glucose started spiking and then falling, spiking and falling. On there injectables, the glucose is much more stable. That showed to me that these drugs have benefits beyond weight loss / weight maintenance.

I am just doing incidental walking today and Australian exercises and some calf stretches. So it is a rest day, basically.
