We had a person in our office test positive, HR called around 10 people today and sent them all home. I'm hoping that person gets well soon and everyone else tests negative. Also I'm hoping I don't get it! Mask usage has been increasingly iffy in our office, and people are probably getting lax about hand-washing and keeping their distance. I feel like I have to be constantly on guard because others aren't.
Hugs for couchies who need one. Enjoy your evening and stay safe. |

Oh, I just assumed people would take them home to drink? In my state, no open containers are allowed in cars (even for passenger drinking), so it's not something I've ever chanced. The cocktails sold by restaurants near me are in bottles or "crowlers" (cans that are bottled at the restaurant) vs., say, in a cup with a straw. |

Things just exploded here at my house There's so much tension here because H and dad are opposite ends politically. I don't know why they even talk about this stuff. Everyday they fight.

Today is 9 years I've been seeing L. I just got out my boxes of therapy/dream notebooks and found the very first one, begun on 11/10/11, and the only note for that day is "First session". I didn't write anything again until the morning of 11/12/11 when I recorded a dream for the very first time. On 11/22/11, I wrote in it an essay entitled "What crazy means to me". I'd completely forgotten about that. Strangely though, that first recorded dream, reading it, feels like I just had it last night!! I guess our dreams stay with us. I'll probably read this whole notebook tonight. Or maybe I'll wait and bring it with me to therapy tomorrow and go through it with L. That will be interesting.

Ha, as if I can wait til tomorrow afternoon.
Flipping through this first notebook I found a passage I wrote in January of 2012 that says "why can't I just dream a book falls out of the sky, I read it, and have all the answers in plain English"? If only. |

I feel like I've been posting negatives here, so something positive! September was a very difficult month for L and I. Today's session was wonderful! We talked about our career path/goals and about how she holds me in mind. It was so connecting. I truly feel happy and loved right now. It was cool finding out how she got into therapy and why she chose a PhD. And it was nice getting to share with her that part of my life. And then to know that she holds me in mind even outside our session...I know that our relationship is real. I feel so at peace internally right now. It's a much needed break.

So I flopped my exam.
The examiners were super nice, but I didn't know my topic and couldn't work out the answer from the clues. Not crying which is surprising. I have two days off this week before we start our second subject. -- I've been watching youtube videos on investing and I've gained an extra £72.48 which I can withdraw now if I want to. __________________ Last edited by Lemoncake; Nov 11, 2020 at 07:23 AM.. |

I'm just kinda sad because my brain circuits seem wired for passive SI, and my 2 non toxic siblings have been ignoring me. Need to work to get more work on fiverr... I only have had 1 order and the competition is fierce. (don't worry I'm safe, stopped self harming probably 9 months ago) This year's birthday is going to be bittersweet. 2 friends gave me a red packet (usually only families do that) with enough money for 2 weeks of groceries. I'm grateful. |

There's nothing I actually need at the moment. I do want the 2020 Harry potter Lego Advent calendar, but even then I don't think I will buy it for myself. If you generally wait until after Christmas it was down to £6 last year. I think it makes if SH was your main coping mechanism. You might just need more time. Can you contact your siblings first rather than wait for them to get back to you? I do have you as a contact on Insta- I'll have a look when I download the app again. What are you selling on fiver? __________________ |

I don't miss my parents but I miss my siblings, and maybe it's a good thing they're not on bad terms with them. Fiverr is a site where people can hire you to do tasks. Currently I offer some image editing but the competition is really fierce with many offering to get a ton of work done for literally just $7. |
