I decided to only do a half hour on the treadmill, which I just completed. And to nix the yoga and weights etc today since I have my volunteer job later and that’s really active. 1 hour on the treadmill daily is overkill especially since I’m also taking a 30 min walks outside outside everyday too. I don’t have the stamina or patience to do an hour on the treadmill at least not currently.

Good to know about baking soda for blood on running shoes! Just last night, I conquered a seriously dirty stove with baking soda and warm water alone (and a brush, obviously). I love using baking soda and not questionable cleaners and can't get enough of applications for its power.

Can't believe my luck. My total calories per day went down when on March 31st I doubled my Naltrexone from 25 mg at bedtime to a split dose of 50 mg, 25 mg with breakfast and 25 mg at bedtime. And the split dose does not make me depressed.

When I tried 50 mg Naltrexone in one dose while also on Zyprexa more than 5 years ago, it made me depressed and I had to stop. But not now. So happy to report that!

Naltrexone is one of the two ingredients in Contrave, an expensive brand drug used for weight loss. It is not as effective as injections, but as an add-on to injections it can work well. The other ingredient is Wellbutrin, an AD that caused insomnia when I tried it, so I had to stop. Plus, long term use has the risk of going manic. That is why I use Naltrexone alone, without Wellbutrin. But cost is also a factor: for Naltrexone, my copay is $10, but for Contrave, the pharmacy quoted an unbelievable price tag of $300. Thanks, but no thanks.

I went to Orangetheory fitness after a nap. First, I could not get going on the treadmill because of sleep inertia. Then, I could not do some resistance exercises because I was dizzy. But I am still glad I tried and did what I could.

So earlier I had more energy so I added the additional 30 min of treadmill and 15 min of yoga and weights. For a total of 1 hour on the treadmill, 15 min yoga, weights and 20 min walk outside (had to walk outside again for something)

I feel like I’m getting in a good routine with things

Forcing myself to take a rest day from exercise today, took a shower already that usually helps because I don't like showering twice in one day. Feeling guilty about it, but I'm still sick with the sinus infection though maybe a tad better than yesterday. My body has had it though; I am so physically exhausted even though I slept a ton yesterday. Woke up at 4 AM, figured I'd get up awhile. Having sinus pressure, feel it in my ears, my balance is a bit off, sore throat, postnasal drip etc.

I really hate being sick!

Did 20 min on the treadmill and a 30 min walk outside today so far. Might add another 30 min on the treadmill tonight if I feel up to it

@Blueberrybook does your insurance cover telehealth? I always get antibiotics for sinus infections. That extreme tiredness usually indicated walking pneumonia for me, or strep. Its like, i dont get run of the mill colds, it always escalated. I would get this weird mental state where all i could think about was, am i ill? Like, is this happening? That was actually a big indicator that i was in need of meds. Weird how the mind works.

I'm not sure if we have telehealth. I'd have to check with the insurance company (goodness knows, I don't want to call the insurance company ever and especially not right now feeling unwell). If it gets too bad, I'm not far from an urgent care and they are usually pretty fast. My doctor's office runs an urgent care over the weekend too, and I might get a bit of a cheaper rate going to that one due to the insurance. I'm wondering if it's some upper respiratory infection because it is a bit harder to breathe too. Nothing too bad, just noticeable to me. I'm wondering if this is contagious as last week my daughter had a sore throat then ran fever and got better, I had allergies & a sore throat first then some type of infection that I assume is sinus. H told me he is getting a sore throat now too. But we all do have seasonal allergies too and pretty much all the pollens in the area are in the very high range.

Contrave is expensive! Last time I bought a pack for $250 but then my pdoc didn’t want me taking it so the package just sits in my entrance way. What a waste of money!

We got Chipotles at 1 and I got a burrito with just chicken white rice and cheese. They forgot the seasoning and mine was about 98% rice.

I haven't eaten since. Not sure when it becomes an issue.

The size small shirt is kinda big too. But whatever.

I had a serving of pretzel Goldfish, a serving of veggie cheddar goldfish, and a smoothie acai bowl for breakfast. I also had 26oz of carrot juice.

I haven't worked out yet but I might later. I could use the boost in energy.

I'm still recovering but took a power walk this morning, 4 mi. I should have stopped at 3 though. And it was definitely enough to show me not to stop taking Benadryl for my seasonal allergies!

Did get a little plank practice in

I didn't feel like working out. I'm somewhere around 1400 calories for the day. I almost ordered a triple cheeseburger. I was a few seconds from placing the order but then I realized that was a bad idea in more then one way. I tried eating some grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner but it gave me heartburn. So I ate a few Goldfish crackers instead. I know it wasnt the best but between getting off the AD and my other stuff I'm just not in the mood much.

I walked quite a bit yesterday. From my pdoc/t's office to my favorite restaurant, from the restaurant to Trader Joe's to pick up just a few things I could carry in my purse, then back to where I parked my car before the pdoc/t's appointment. And then already at night, walked around the complex and on adjacent streets while listening to a fascinating video as an audio. It gave me a limited experience because I missed scenes from the old movies that were reviewed, but I still got most of it and most of the content was in audio form.

Tomorrow I have to do some work from home, but also, if I do not get one of my vestibular attacks again, I plan to do some fitness activity. Maybe personal training if my trainer is up for it (I canceled the Friday session due to being so very dizzy), or yin yoga in the evening, or I will go to the gym for a mix of recumbent elliyand recumbent bike. I do not have grand plans but just want to do something.

@Tart Cherry Jam I keep meaning to ask you this, and I keep forgetting. Sometimes you mention doing yin/yang yoga. How does that differ from regular yoga?

I'm starting to feel more like myself from that sinus infection. Still a little weak and a bit of a sore throat and cough, but MUCH better than I have felt in days.

This morning I did a 25 min. pilates video. It was labelled as beginner, but parts of it were very challenging. I made it through the whole video without having to pause it or rest! Did some plank practice too

I've eaten pretty well today. I hàd granola and a string cheese for breakfast and I'm eating a bag of Green Giant zucchni spirals and a Dole acai bowl for lunch. I had a few Goldfish crackers for a snack.

So yeah things have gone good so far

Thanks for thinking of me @Blueberrybook I haven’t got out for a run, I’m still feeling very anxious about the idea of running unfortunately. I am going to try on my days off later in the week. I’m going to try to go for a slow very short run.

I wanted something unhealthy again but I pushed through it. I did 130 reps with my ab roller.

I'm trying to eat some brussel sprouts for dinner but I'm too lazy to get off my *** and get some. My mom is giving me a bit of a hard time.

@Blueberrybook

I mention Yin yoga, not Yang yoga. You can think of most regular yoga that involves strength as Yang yoga, for contrast, whereas Yin yoga involves deep poses, held for many minutes at a time, often using orops to make them more bearable. The idea is to tolerate discomfort but avoid pain. So you are always thinking of where to draw that fine line between some discomfort which is good and outright pain which is bad.

Yin yoga exercises and benefits deep connective tissue.

I have taken Yin yoga classes from at least five different yoga teachers at three different studios over the years, and they all have different approaches and different styles of teaching. So what I described above is very general and individual applications differ from teacher to teacher.

It is not the kind of yoga to lose weight, but I think I it is wonderful for maintaining mobility. It also can be quite meditative

No exercise today - I came down with a cold. Or whatever it is, but I woke up shivering and am sitting in my living room wearing socks and a fleece jacket and still feeling cold. Oh well. I will recover
