I will try singing a song in my mind during strength training, Blueberry!

I still have not exercised, but yesterday I wore my 13 lb weighted vest for a couple of hours while cooking

I ordered a smart scale today. One that has body fat and body mass and synchs to my weight loss app. It was only $20 and has a ton of 5 star reviews.

Today has been fine so far. 650 calories, 100 carbs, and 26 grams of protein.

Awesome. When I inject on Friday I think I’m going to try my thigh. I can’t harm to try somewhere different 😊

I am so glad to be done with injections! I never injected for weight loss, but there was a 1 yr. period I had to inject in my abdomen daily (switching sides each day) for a year for osteopenia. Thank God that is over! I got used to it, but even in the end, I'd sometimes still bruise myself. My latest bone density scans have been good, knock on wood. I get another in December.

This morning, I did pilates, but oh, man, this was a beginner one with a difficult plank series at the end! I love the Move with Nicole videos but she often has a way of putting the most difficult parts right at the very end, well just before the very end. I love her very end parts, which are stretching. Practiced the plank and pushups want to practice a couple times more this afternoon. Maybe if I put music on during the plank, the 1 minute will seem to go by faster?

The only other time I’ve had to inject daily was when I did IVF. If I recall I was injecting 2-3 times a day all over my stomach!

Sounds like you had a great workout today well done!

Smart scales are accurate for weight but generally not other body compositions though they can give rough estimates. But things like dehydration, recent meals, gender age, etc can play into it.

However, they can help you view trends over time but other than weight, the readings need to be taken with a grain of salt. The DEXA scan, which measures bone density is considered the gold standard for providing info about muscle mass and body fat composition.

I weigh 220 and I should be about 170. I have like all these health issues I'm pretty sure are weight related like the prediabetes and high cholestrol and high blood pressure. Although my Psych NP isn't ruling out my Geodon. So I need to lose for sure. I did lose 5 pounds in the last 3 weeks from my new diet. I guess thats good. I was 225. But like I'm just lying down and I'm out of breath from doing nothing at all and my blood pressure is like 144/91 from Listening to music.

I need to majorly lose and get into shape.

Well, I have high bad cholesterol too, and I don't have a horrendous diet and I'm not overweight (and never have been overweight). It used to not be a problem until I had a stint on Zyprexa, since then, it's been high even after I switched back to Seroquel. Though then my PCP says she's not concerned, my good cholesterol is high enough it cancels out the bad cholesterol? So APs definitely do not help cholesterol any, that's for sure. My trigylcerides were high too, but the PCP said to take fish oil pills daily, and I do, and that brought the trigylcerides back down to normal.

MD: Did your doctor put you on a statin for the high cholesterol?

Not yet. He claims he wants to do that CT scan of my heart first. I'm still waiting on insurance. I need to call his office today because I've been on the blood pressure med for a week now and I've been keep tracking of my BP and its still like 140/90 at the lowest most times. So I'll see what he says to do next.

This morning I weighed 219.4.

I took my morning blood pressure a few minutes ago and it was 157/96. Yeah I'll give my doctor a call in a bit.

Yeah high cholesterol can be just one of those things, it can be familial. I’m not overweight either and mine tends to be high but also good and bad so cancels itself out? My triglycerides are okay apparently. Statins seem okay, I know a few people on them with no problems and they certainly do seem to bring it down.

I have not gotten on the scale for a few days. I’ve decided I’m going to weigh myself on fridays only. Less chance of up and downs. Fridays is the day I inject every week so makes sense to track it every Friday only. The scale in my bathroom isn’t accurate so I have to use the scale in the other bathroom. At least it’s out of harm’s way….

@Crazy Hitch - Weighing yourself only once a week is a fantastic idea! Because you are right; there are always daily fluctuations up and down, and not to mention like before I start my period, I usually weigh nearly 5 lb. more from water retention!

This morning, it was drizzling. I tried a 0.5 mi walk around the block, and by the time I got back to my house, it was raining even harder, and I really don't like walking in the rain, so I came in and did pilates. I go through the Move with Nicole beginner playlist which is 10 videos then restart it. Today was the "Absolute Beginner" video which is probably my favorite because none of it is hard for me but I still feel it stretches me out and afterwards I still feel the effects of doing pilates on my body, which feels so nice. @Crazy Hitch - You really should try that video! I promise you it's very easy to follow along and while you may find some parts difficult in the beginning they get easier over time and in the realm of pilates are pretty simple.

Do you take your blood pressure the same way every day with the wrist band over your radial artery and hand across the body over the heart and staying still the whole time (that is if you have a wrist monitor?). And if you have a wrist monitor, it is generally considered less accurate than a cuff monitor and even then a digital cuff monitor is considered less accurate than the old standard manual blood pressure monitor!

One time I went to the PCP, just a standard checkup, the tech checked my BP with a wrist monitor and my BP was like 176 over something! The tech was like, "I HATE these wrist monitors! They're never accurate." She then took my BP with the old fashioned manual BP monitor: 120/80!

I tend to low blood pressure, which overall is a blessing, but sometimes it is too low. When my internist suspected that I had episodes of low blood pressure, she told me to buy a cuff monitor. According to her, wrist monitors are way inaccurate. My episodes turned out to be vestibular migraine, so I no longer need to monitor the blood pressure and I am glad - one fewer thing to do. Proper monitoring of blood pressure daily takes time. You are supposed to sit quietly doing nothing for 5 minutes before doing your first measurement, then measure thrice, then take the median measurement. This is not a trivial task.

I had personal training today.

I have an appt. with my pdoc this morning, so I didn't have time to walk. I did pilates, thankfully the gentle beginner pilates which is not too hard but does have a pretty good burn for the arms at the end where you are definitely feeling it!

6k this morning but it felt tough going, bit of a headwind. Went shopping this afternoon and felt whacked walking home with heavy bag into that headwind again.

Took a brisk 1 mile walk after getting a devastating high quote from a plumber to fix a clogged bathroom sink drain. Our house was built in the 1960s. We've got a slab foundation, the drain is in that, there is no crawl space under the house, so basically that means they have to tunnel under...Really, really, really shot my anxiety sky high! OMG, I hoped the walk would help but not too much. What genius architect designed this subdivision anyway, the cheapest one they could find?!

Sorry, I know this is the exercise and fitness forum not the financial forum...hopefully, I can get back to fitness next time I post! Tomorrow morning should be a good day for walking, and I may need a pretty long one to walk this staggering financial quote off my mind enough to cope with the rest of the day in general.

I have an arm cuff one. When it started getting high a couple months ago I thought it was the batteries so I put new ones in and its still high. I haven't checked it today.

Man was I ravenous today from something.
According to my Lose It app I've had 3,322 calories and 430 carbs. Something just made me lose my mind out of hunger.

It was legit food at least.

No structured exercise today, but I will wear my weighted vest when I do laundry. For me, the chore involves some walking, as the laundry room is outside in our complex and I hang dry all my socks, bras, non-cotron panties, and finer clothes and tech fabric workout clothes, too. And then with t-shirts and cotton workout pants, I tumble dry them, fold them on the table in the laundry room, and then carry them home and put away. So a few steps here and a few steps there, steps add up and wearing the weighted backpack will make it feel like I am doing something. Actually... I will measure how many steps the whole affair takes by using the step tracking functionality in the Oura ring.

Still felt whacked but did a lacklustre 6k this morning, my legs felt heavy, although it’s only breezy today not windy. I think I’ll take a rest day tomorrow.

Came home and made pancakes, a couple of days late for shrove Tuesday- they were amazing.

I took my regular Sleep3 melatonin and I feel fine hunger wise.

I wonder if I have a frozen meal instead of 3-4 rice cakes or a protein drink when I get hungry if it will be better. I have some Amys organic ones and a few Real Good frozen meals

I need to learn to snack less.

I took my long 7.2 mi power walk this morning. I felt fine during it, but now I feel pretty done it. Practiced the plank and pushups, still want to do that a couple more times.

I'm doing the Myfitnesspal app again. It has a carbs, and protein, and sodium budget, and doesn't tell you when you will reach your goal the way Lose It does . Which always drove me a bit crazy. I logged in all my details and it says I should be eating 1600 calories a day to lose weight. Which seems about right. I seem to lose when I'm around 1600 calories. Anything higher is too much.

I ate better then most days. Breakfast and dinner were legit. I had some chips for a snack but they were Sun Chips which are ok. I'm trying.

I did buy a bag of Kit Kats I've been looking awhile for

How do I get to a point where everything doesn't hurt? I walked around 2 stores today and I had therapy and everything really aches. Like even my toenails.

I know I'm really out of shape. But where do you even begin when just going grocery shopping is a mess?
