Personal training today and also plan to go for a short walk before bedtime, wearing a weighted backpack. Can't wait for tomorrow morning when my trial Pilates reformer class will be held at the gym!

@Tart Cherry Jam - I LOVE pilates What's a pilates reformer class? What does the reformer part mean?

I woke up feeling so rested, and I felt it in my walk today! When you sleep well, exercise feels so much easier I did my normal power walk and later a couple rounds of forearm planks.

A reformer is an apparatus. Pilates, I think, is subdivided into floor and apparatus Pilates.

Look up images of video, Blueberry, as it is hard to explain in words this complex apparatus with moving parts, a tower, a box, a pulley, colored coils and what not.

I liked it! If I end up going on an FMLA, and I might since I am having racing thoughts even on Lybalvi now and they make virtually impossible to focus on what I need to ideate at work, I will sign up for a small group Pilates reformer class. Just 4 people in a group, in the mornings, and hence incompatible with a regular work schedule but within reach if I stay home for a period of time.

I really liked it. It allows superior isolation of core muscles and works them better, I think, than my personal training sessions
.

So I did that in the morning and now, before bedtime, will go for a walk wearing my weighted vest.

I walked around the complex while listening to an audiobook about AI. Now I am at close to 8k steps for today, and it is time to go to bed. Tomorrow will be another day.

A 6k this morning which felt a bit of a slog, still windy here too, but glad I did it.

@Blueberrybook I’m using just two dumbbells with a 2kg weight each, it’s not much but it’s manageable. My son bench presses 40kg lol so I’m no where near that stuff. I tried his 5kg dumbbells but they’re a struggle for me.

That said I haven’t had time to do weights despite good intentions, too much to do, but I did do gardening yesterday which I think is a great activity.

Tart cherry - american disability is often incompatible with taking ANY kind of classes. If you show you can follow orders in a class, then you can get a job where you just follow orders, even if that is not your usual occupation.

They do snoop on you. I think they snooped on me and saw me painting the overhang on my mother's garage. They probably thought they were watching a sloth at the zoo. I tend to be very painstaking.

Unaluna,.

For now it would be short-term disability through the private disability insurance company, an employment benefit. They define disability as inability to do my current job, not any job. Federal disability defines it as inability to do any job. My current job requires heavy ideation which I find myself unable to do because of lack of focus and I interference from racing thoughts. But I could be a sous chef who follows orders and still has those racing thoughts, no problem.

@Tart Cherry Jam - Glad your pilates class went well. Reformer pilates sounds like it is great @Discombobulated - You are so good at running consistently even when it isn't easy.

I went walking today, but it was a bit of a slog. Between the heat and PMS nausea, I wasn't sure if I'd make it. Did plank practice, and really, I hope to God I will stop being so nauseous. I hate PMS!

This morning, I woke up a bit tired and with sore muscles so I stuck with gentle pilates. Unfortunately, there is one pilates video out of the series of beginner videos I can do by this instructor whereby only minor weight is briefly placed on my left wrist (the sprained one, I think I may have slightly re-injured it leaning over the sofa arm to get the remote on the floor, overbalancing and having to catch my weight on that wrist). I can't even do videos that have you in a hands and kneese position...ugh! Meanwhile for planks, I am sticking with the forearm planks as those a the ones I can do without pain to my left wrist. I almost had it healed before that "graceful" move I made yesterday!

Yesterday I didn't exercise on purpose, but I took public transit and walked a lot, and as a result, my step count was over 11k by night!

Today I went to Orangetheory fitness and was able to do some of the weight exercises to complete muscle fatigue, i.e., literally to the point when I couldn't do any more.

Going about my day, I have accumulated over 10k steps, most of them not at Orangetheory fitness.

I took my usual power walk this morning, did some planks. I really need to start working pilates again more especially since the weather is so miserable, with humidity over 80% and 80F+. I have been almost grateful our hot water heater is on the fritz, and I usually only get a hot shower once every week or so. I really hope H gets around to fixing it before the weather cools. It's miserable enough to shower after pilates since I don't sweat as much or get as hot then. In fact, it's pretty awful. After outside exercise, I could care less if I have a cold shower!

I wonder if they saw me belting out “Last Resort” by Papa Roach a few days ago on my way to the mental health center. That would be a good time to catch me to let me keep the social security—It’d be obvious I can’t sing well enough to make money doing it.

I cannot sing for sure. I know I sing off key, but I cannot make my voice obey me and sing correctly.

Today, 10 minutes on the elliptical as warm-up, personal training and some walking around the complex for the total of about 6k steps. Not bad, just not a personal record.

I can't sing either other than way off key!

I did pilates this morning because it was raining outside. I shouldn't complain, we needed the rain, it had been unseasonably dry here. Of course, the rain stopped right around the time I finished the pilates video. My body probably needed the break, and the videos I do always have some stretching at the end of the session, and that always feels so nice.

I just realized I haven't really been eating these last 24 hours. I snacked on some popcorn this morning and I had some lentil chips just now. I got a drink from Sonic. I wonder if its the iron working since I was doing it subconsioly.

I had a personal training session and then did low intensity cardio: 45 minutes on the recumbent elliptical and 15 minutes on the rower. I covered 2000 m while rowing. On the elliptical, I alternated between chest press and legs add-ons, so it was partly a strength training exercises, too. Then I walked while listening 🎧 to an audiobook and will walk some more. I should hit 10k steps before I go to bed tonight.

Got a nice 13.5k in this morning, the wind has dropped to a breeze so much easier than the last couple. I settled into a nice easy pace, no idea what that was as I don’t track anymore, and up until the last km or so I felt good, it must be psychological though but the last km I did feel it more. Schools off this week so noticeably a lot less traffic which made it nicer too.

Enjoy your day and exercise everyone.

Cold showers blueberry! They are supposed to be good for the vagus nerve I’ve heard. I’m not brave enough though!

I weighed myself this morning and I've lost almost 2 pounds. So far for breakfast I had 4 Twizzlers, and a pouch of tuna. I'm trying to eat some zucchini I made in the microwave but I'm not too hungry for it.

I find it easier to sit in a bathtub filled with cold water than take a cold shower. As a teen, I loved both cold and contrast showers.

That's a fantastic run @Discombobulated! How many km is the half marathon?

I took a power walk this morning, a pretty long one, but I've definitely eaten a lot more than I usually do by this time of day. The sunrise was gorgeous this morning, that's always nice to see
