I do not wear FitBit either. I used to wear it but then I would develop eczema where the wristband touched my skin. So I stopped. I wear an Oura ring for sleep tracking, and it also counts steps, albeit not as precisely as FitBit.

I can totally see how an ED would cause you to obsess over numbers and push for more more more. Good you block those kinds of triggers from affecting your life

Somebody sent me a fitbit or something in the mail a few years ago, but it rubs on my wrist bone. I am happy with a "macro" level of knowing how much time i spend exercising, like 15 minutes at a timr, which is about all i can tolerate right now without punking out the next day. Pushing myself is getting really counter-productive. But obeying an "arbitrary" limit is crazy-making to me! What??? I have no limits! I am super-oldie!!

I’ve had a couple of Garmin watches for around 12 years or so, each model that comes along seems to monitor you more and more. I’m the kind of obsessive person who can get gripped by these stats if I’m not careful so I decided to keep it on for my daily steps but not for recording runs. Even then I can go days without wearing it now - it wore a little dint in the top of my forearm from when I did apparently Apple watches do the same. It was like the mark of an addict.

I’m doing okay as possible thanks @Blueberrybook my mouth is healing up quickly with these salt water rinses I’m doing like the nurse said to. I still have two corking black eyes which make up can’t cover, not sure the arnica is helpful in this case. My nose may be slightly off centre but it’s hard to say, I’m hoping I won’t need to get it reset at the ENT.

No exercise as such but as I’m confined to barracks I’m doing a very thorough spring clean through my kitchen cupboards which has helped my mood.

How do you just lose the weight? I have one good day and then the next day I fall apart and I keep doing that and I end up just maintaining my weight around 221-223.

I don't have anything unhealthy in the house besides some soda. I just eat too much healthy stuff which still doesnt work with cico.

Personal training and a short walk while wearing a 12 lb weight vest this evening.

I have something funny to report: so after a long break, I decided that I had time and focus for some solo sex, if you know what I mean, with this Quip Soft-Touch™ By Bellesa Clit Vibrators | Bboutique soft touch long beck clitoral vibrator and some highly recommended lubricant. I spent some time, and then decided I needed a nap, because I had not gotten enough sleep during the night.

Oura suggested Other workout that lasted 38 minutes, burned around 100 calories, and had an interesting curve of heart rate, with the average at 92. I took note of the time, erased the suggested workout, and instead added a custom tag "solo sex" with the duration of the "workout".

Later, Oura still registered, for that time interval, and without asking for my approving the suggestion, an Elliptical workout. OK, so it is as good as an elliptical and in some ways better. This will keep me motivated to continue.

@Blueberrybook maybe this information about the heart rate changes and calorie burn will reduce your feelings of shame from masturbation.

It’s good you’re recognising how you feel fat is not necessarily the case.

My mom is all like "your type of cholestrol isn't the kind that is controlled by lifestyle or diet." Which is kinda freaky in a way. Anyways I've just had breakfast so far and it was pretty decent. I wish I could get into intuitive eating more then calorie counting. I've had luck with it before.

@Tart Cherry Jam - Sounds like a fun weight loss plan! I do need to remember that info; it really sucks that I have such shame with masturbation; I guess at least I don't have it with sex too, that would be the absolute pits.

I did a beginner to moderate pilates video this morning and managed most of it except the very end; well, I did the end but had to do the modified version instead of the more difficult which was holding the plank with one hand, touching the opposite shoulder with the other. The modified version you are on your knees. I can do the harder version but not after doing a round of triceps pushups and going from pushup to plank back to pushup, plank, repeat what felt like forever. It was only a 20 minute video but felt much longer! I wish I could do the harder version, maybe eventually though I also have to remember I am 47 years old and not in my 20s any more and don't have the strongest abs since I had stomach surgery in 2018 to repair a perforated ulcer. I think after that sort of stomach surgery it's hard to get back to pre-surgery type abs.

But the good news is wow, with these planks and pushups and pilates videos, possibly the power walking too, I have great looking biceps and triceps

I went power walking again this morning, the usual 7.2 mile route. I really didn't feel like going, but I always try to give it at least 1, 1.5 miles and then see how I feel. And usually at that point, I'm more into the walk. It was miserable weather though, 75F and 95% humidity! That is not pleasant weather to walk in, even with having a bit of a breeze. I came inside, and it didn't even feel any cooler because our thermostat is set for 74F, and the humidity does seep into the house some as well. There is nothing like exercising in that sort of weather to encourage you to shower ASAP when you get home!

I wasn't too hungry today. I ate decently though. I had this protein smoothie bowl for breakfast and then 2 pieces of a Newmans Own pizza. I had a 12oz Gatorade for hydration and an iced latte to help with caffeine withdrawel. I also had a Ritz handi snack for an afternoon snack. I want to see what this hernia is about that showed up on my scan because my stomach has been hurting alot.

Sorry about your dizziness @Tart Cherry Jam. Do you know what causes it?

I did a 55 min pilates video this morning, and WHOA! I am going to be sore tomorrow! It was pretty hard. I was able to do most of it though some parts were just beyond my skills and balance abilities. I have had trouble with my SI joint on the right side and my right hip since I was pregnant with my daughter. Pain comes and goes through time, but that hip just never has been the same since. I do my best with it, and at least I am off painkillers for it (and have been for several years now).

I didn't do good today. I get to 220 pounds and then I self sabotage for some reason. I don't get any looks when I'm not wearing a hoodie. I don't really get looks from anyone when I wear anything. But I don't know how to deal with this except to just keep trying. I asked my pcp today about weight loss meds and he mentioned the GI side effects.

Based on today I'll probably be around 222-223 tommorow.

Dizziness is from a migraine variant called vestibular or vertiginous migraine. I developed it in late April 2023, but only recently obtained a definitive dx.

Botox helps against classic migraine with pain, but does nothing at all for this new type of migraine

Classic migraine with pain is common. I believe 15-16% of population have it, and more women than men

Vestibular migraine, by contrast, is rare and often goes undiagnosed. I was not surprised to learn that because many doctors could not figure out what caused my symptoms until the ENT and neurologist diagnosed me with a migraine variant

Yin yoga today plus I will go for a brisk walk before bedtime.

I was 221 today. Still not making any progress. I know why.

I'm a size medium in shirts and a size 38 in pants. Thats not too bad. Before 2020 and before my weight shifted I would have been XL in shirts and a 44 in pants at this weight.

I guess I'll just keep trying again today. I'm going to get some icelandic yogurt.

I did my long power walk this morning, around 7.2 mi. It's quite warm, upper 70s and pretty humid out. There was a strong headwind blowing that made it harder to walk one of the streets. It's been very windy here lately, not that the wind helps cool me off much during exercise in this climate.

Still practiciing with pushups and planks.

15 k steps today. It came from walking a lot in the morning to process emotional hurt (I succeeded in that, not only by walking but also in the therapy session that followed and via writing all afternoon and early evening) and the a happy walk in the evening, listening to a podcast that described the pros and cons of Andrew Huberman's podcast which I used to listen to until I got bored by its excessive length and continuous selling of expensive and unproven supplements. This critic I listened to is not a hater; he presented a measured critique and ultimately said that on the whole, Huberman does advance popularization of science, despite all the shortcomings, and in any event is a better alternative to going to a psychic. That last contrast made me smile.

I am going to bed soon and I manage to get a good night's sleep, I will go to Orangetheory in late morning tomorrow.

@Tart Cherry Jam You're killing it with the exercise! How is your weight loss going?
