This is much less than in the US.

My insurance doesn't want to cover Mounjaro anymore. I will have to pay out-of-pocket and cut out other expenses to compensate. Studies show that when people come off these drugs, they regain lost weight. In my case, I have tti d and know that several days after I stopped Mounjaro, I felt increased appetite. These drugs are treated like hypertension drugs, something you take for a chronic condition, indefinitely.

I hope they will become cheaper with time

Strength training today and walking errands

The expression is to run errands but I walk them

About 7K steps today. Going to the sauna now, then sleep, then resume working from home in the early morning.

Obviously, I'm not an expert since I've never been on weight loss meds but in the U.S. will insurance/doctors even cover/prescribe Wegovy if you have just 10 kg to lose? That's about 22 lb., right? Of course, Hollywood actoresses seem to be able to get it with no problems even when they get way too skinny

I was 223 today. And I've had about 1,980 calories. Which I guess is ok if I watch it the rest of the day. Or eat later like around 5-6PM. To space things out. I did 110 reps with my ab roller.

I did my 7.2 mi power walk this morning. It was a lot of hard work, and I'm not sure if it was just because the heat and humidity were back in full force after being MIA for over a week or so and/or because my cat woke me around 2:30 AM wanting me to get up to feed her (not happening!), but then it took me a good 10-15 min to fall back to sleep, so maybe because my sleep got interrupted it wasn't quite as restful. I did some plank practice and hope to do a bit more, maybe try to stretch some. I really need to do some neck stretches too; my neck muscles are sore. I'm going to put some Voltaren on it once I get off MSF.

Monday I was 225, yesterday I was 223.8 yesterday and 222.8 today. I'm not doing much of anything. Today I'm trying to eat decently and not overdo anything. I can't work out so I just have to rely on caloiries in calories out.

I need to get this under control especially with the all of a sudden weire blood sugar readings..

You'd think I'd be scared into getting things under control.

I got a nice slow steady 11k in this morning first thing, it was cooler which suited me, and I felt strong, although the last few minutes or so I was definitely ready to stop.

Mentally I’m feeling okay, although there’s some stressors going on in my family, maybe the running is helping me cope with that.

@Blueberrybook that eye sketch is amazing!

I was reading some stuff about low iron and weight and iron supplements and weight loss.

Theres some connection between getting your energy back and being able to get out of bed again. Then theres some people on Reddit who just have lost weight in general with starting the supplement.

I'm at 487 calories and yesterday at this time I was almost at 2000.

@Discombobulated Thanks for the compliments on the eye sketch. I have a thread with all my sketches (some better than others) in the Creative Corner Forum. Lately, I've been toying with watercolors, which I can honestly say I have not used since I was 5 or 6 years old. I painted a decent watermelon today, impressed myself a bit actually because that is only my 4th watercolor painting, and I'm still learning how watercolors behave. I still draw daily too; eyes though have to be my absolutely most favorite thing to draw! Lately, I've been on a cat drawing kick. I actually only recently got back into drawing around the end of last November; I hadn't drawn since I was 18 or 19 years old! My mood really did a 180 after I started using the SAD lamp, which I was highly skeptical of but finally tried as a last resort and suddenly I had the urge to draw again even though I hadn't drawn in 20 years.

@Tart Cherry Jam You are doing such a great job with your workouts. Now that it's hot outside, I really wish I belonged to a gym!

I did my usual 7 mi walk this morning, hot and humid, not quite as hard as yesteray's walk, but I was quite sweaty by the time I got in. Nothing like exercising outdoors in weather in southeast Texas most of the year! Did a couple 1 min. forearm planks, still reluctant to do high plank or side plank because while my wrist is healing certain things still get to it. For example, last night I was carrying 2 full soup bowls, one in each hand to set out for dinner, usually no problem, but still, I can't do it with my left hand. Well, those bowls are heavier china than my normal plates and bowls but still they are not THAT heavy. Apparently, a sprained wrist can take 2-10 weeks to heal. It's been around 3 weeks for me maybe a month, so I'm not in the 2 week range unfortunately. Hopefully it won't take 10 weeks; the thing I have to be careful of is overdoing it with that wrist so I don't hamper the healing.

Definitely take it easy with that wrist Blueberry, hope it’ll heal soon but these things take time. My nose is still tender from my fall 6 weeks ago now.

Out for a little run this morning, just 4k. Very windy and chilly here, hard work.

No exercise yesterday, but almost 9 k steps! Mostly from reorganizing my apartment, moving things around, optimizing storage. It was exciting and I have just a little more to do until I can rest my case

I'm doing decently today. I've had 710 calories. I had a PB&J Lunchable and a can of asparagus and a couple Body Armour waters. I'm not sure on the rest of the day but I have pasta salad left.

I stopped craving sweets. I'm not sure what was up with that. But it was like this craving for bakery cake. It was weird.

I was finally able to work out again so I did 460 reps with my ab roller. I'm trying to get up the energy to do more. I ate snacks for breakfast so I need to figure out a decent dinner. I'm only at 132 carbs though.

So yesterday i had a pretty good day. Protein 71 gm, carbs 136, fat 53, fiber 21, sodium 2970, cal 1309. My blood sugar was in range morning, bedtime, and was excellent (104) this morning.

I had a belvita and coffee and hard boiled eggs and baby carrots for breakfast; roast beef on ezekiel with mayo and mustard for lunch and dinner, and a small salad with thousand island dressing for a snack.

Now to play scientist and see what i have to alter in order to lose weight. But pretty good accomplishment stabilizing my blood sugar and hunger.

ETA - that calorie count might be a little low? Idk.

@Blueberrybook I’m so sorry you had sad news, sending hugs.

I didn’t do much in the way of steps today, but I got inspired by a podcast on peri menopause and did a short dumbbell workout. Drs were talking about the holistic approach to menopause and importance of lifestyle. They emphasised the importance of weights at this time. I kind of know this but don’t do anything about it so I do need to step up for my own sake. Just using 2kg weights, it’s manageable.

I slowed down and did a gentle pilates video today as I had an 8 AM to see my PCP (mostly routine except I had a mammogram Monday and got referred for a further diagnositic mammogram & ultrasound on my left breast which is a bit worrying). PCP says the report says the breasts are asymmetrical where they never were in previous mammograms. She said it could be an issue with how the mammogram was done though even when I had a learner do it last year, I didn't have that issue), a fluid filled cyst, a biopsy, another mammogram in a shorter time period, or reassurance, nothing to worry about. I have a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound scheduled for the breast June 9, but it's something I really didn't need to worry about

I had a personal training session, a Yin Yoga class, and a walking meeting with a recently hired employee today. I walked to the yoga studio. All that walking and I am over 9k in step count today, without trying

During person training I did some planks. They are so hard. You are doing amazingly well, Blueberry, with a regular plank practice. I have read that planks and not sit-ups are now considered the best exercise for the core.

Keep us posted on your diagnostic tests, ok?

Good luck with your tests Blueberry, I’m thinking of you, I hope all will be fine but good to get checked out.

I ducked out of running this morning because I did not fancy running into that freezing cold north wind again. I’m going to go on the exercise bike instead and maybe a short dumbbell workout too.

PS I read that too re planks Tart Cherry, sit ups put too much strain on the back, I agree that Blueberry is doing amazing holding them so long, it’s hard!

Thanks, everyone!

I have a question for those of you who exercise: what brand/style of shoe do you recommend? Right now, I have Brooks Ravenna, but I have a hole in the lower toe of my left shoe, and I need new shoes. They no longer make the style I had in Brooks Ravenna that I loved so much. I'm probably just going to order off the internet; I hate going to the sports store.

@Blueberrybook I had the Brooks Ravenna several times too. Did you get gait analysis? Mine came out slight overpronator but only one side, so those are guidance shoes rather than full stability or neutral.

These days I have been wearing a neutral shoe and not had any problems. My most recent shoes have been Reebok Floatride Energy, I just got my second pair, I got them on sale both times as they were last years models, I’ve found that you can pick up best bargains that way.

Maybe you might find the Ravenna older model somewhere? If not I do recommend the Floatride, it’s nice and light but some stability too.
Thanks for this!

I'm still 222. I had a couple PB&J Lunchables and a Uncrustable and a bag of miracle pasta. I had a few Goldfish crackers and some lentil curry tumeric chips. I did 500 reps with my ab roller. Most of them were done on carpet which was harder to do.

I have zucchni for dinner. Or goat cheese mac and cheese. I'm not very hungry.

I'm wondering if gel insoles will help me out. I know when I worked at a grocery store 10 years ago a double pair of socks and Dr. Scholls gel inserts made being on my feet for 6 hours a breeze. Without them I was in extreme pain.
