I am actually the other way around: more obsessed with distance vs. time with walking/jogging. Right now it's pretty bad. Though when I do pilates, I'm more obsessed with time; however, I like it to be 30 min, which is not a bad amount of time for exercise.

I am psyched; I was able to jog 3.5 miles today Not fast, but good for me. I walked 0.25 miles at the beginning and end. I have to say walking the last 0.25 miles was the hardest! It seems power walking alternated with pilates has kept me in pretty good shape for jogging. Though I know I will still be sore from jogging tomorrow; I think some different muscles are used or muscles are used harder. You cannot beat that runner's high though!

The downside today was that it was 65F with 99% humidity after all that rain yesterday. OMG, that was a hot run! Usually 65F with a breeze and low humidity isn't bad but with that high humidity, it is not at all ideal jogging or even walking weather! The other bad thing was that I forgot to charge my headphones, so I had to use earbuds this morning. I hate using earbuds because I think I have small ears or something; the earbuds never stay in and constantly fall out, especially when I'm jogging. Plus, the headphones keep my hair out of my eyes while running. I guess my hair has gotten long enough again that I need to wear a headband or ponytail; I used to have a pixie haircut

I'm guessing these are wired ear buds, so have you tried to loop the ear bud wires over your ears?

I can look into home training for my wife, but:
1. She wouldn't be comfortable with someone coming to the home.
2. We have no gym equipment except for a few very light dumbbells and yoga mats.

Maybe an agency can connect me with a trainer at a gym where there's no membership fee.

Yesterday I only did 55 reps with my ab roller. But it was on carpet. This morning I did 300. I've just had coffee and a piece of bread so far.

Over here there are outdoor exercise groups lead by trainers, I’ve seen quite a few along the coast, they use equipment like bungees, weights etc. Can you check out your local groups on Facebook? These are good because you get peer support too as well as instructor guidance.
Thanks for this!

Yes, they are wired. I completely forgot about looping the wire over my ears! I have been using my headphones for awhile now, which are bluetooth connected.

Well, a simple search brought up three places right in our town! In my week off I hope to check out these places with her.

Plus there are two other PTs that can do training at gyms in nearby towns that require no gym membership.

SPG: In my town there are also women trainers who lead group Zumba classes at local parks for close to nothing ($10 a class is very little in Silicon Valley) and without a recurrent commitment. I do not partake because I do not like such classes, possibly due to my being poorly coordinated, but other women rave about them

I went to Orangetheory fitness this morning and will go again tomorrow morning. These are Orange 60 classes that are a mixture of treadmill, strength, and a little rowing.

A few years ago I did a beach yoga class, very little charge too, once you take away premises cost it really reduces the overheads. Does make it weather dependent however.

Plus I used to go to an outdoor running group, £2 a session. That was good too, I just can’t get there anymore for caring responsibilities.

I went for a long power walk this morning, nearly 6 miles. I have snacked a lot today as a result. I am really needing a new Spotify workout list!

I did not go to Yoga: they must have canceled tonight's class. I booked the evening class a week from now.

I am going hiking with my friend tomorrow! This will be the first hike since the injuries.

I did my normal workout but I'm slacking on eating today. I'll figure it out though
