I have walked 10,423 steps. I have walked for exersize 4.15 miles burning about 460 calories. This together with my base calories of 2090 provides me a target of 2,550 calories. I have consumed 2,437 calories which is about 110 calories short. Since I am deducting about 100 calories a day for the near future in order to make up for that past overage in calories, I have effectively met my target. I was even able to fit in a half a slice of apple pie with a small scoop of ice cream. Nice. I am going to have to shop for groceries this weekend, for I am close to running out of food. I will have to watch my food intake over the next couple days. I am going to San Diego with my step son and staying overnight. I may stick with food from McDonalds. I will take my iPad to keep a log of every calorie consumed during those two days.
MFP states that I was walking 4.5 mph, a very very brisk pace. What happens if I top this? Will MFP call it a very very very brisk pace? ![]() |

![]() Well, I am keeping pace with @Bozdickens. This morning I weighed 156.8, a new low for me. If a certain GI tract event had taken place a couple of hours earlier, I would have been even lower. I am not convinced this is my true base weight yet; I got here too quickly from 159.

![]() Today I weighed 156.2. it was so hot outside and when it gets really hot I want a regular coke. At 9:45 I found some Vanilla Coke In the fridge. It had 150 calories. At 11 I had the other half of the burrito which was 340 calories. I had a small waffle and cream cookie thing at 1:45. It had 90 calories. I wasn’t feeling too well so I had a drink from Dunkin’ Donuts so I could drink my calories instead of eating them. The drink had 230 calories. Dinner is going to be London broil. Which I’ve calculated at 300 calories and a baked potato at 110. Total it was 1,210 give or take with the steak. |

@Bozdickens - nice! I don't think I will be keeping pace with you at my next weigh in (Sunday).
I had a piece of banana bread this morning as a car pool mom gave it to me for taking her son in even though high schoolers are done. I still work a mile from the school, so it was no big deal. But that banana bread was good. My oldest made dinner tonight. Crabless crab cakes and black beans and yellow rice. Vegetarian doesn't always mean low calorie. I kind of fit all that in, but I had some watermelon after dinner that I logged as tomorrow and I might have another piece of that banana bread and log it as tomorrow. I will just have to get up early and walk 5 or 6 miles... 10153 steps. Logged 5700. 1926 calories. Actually more, but rolling some forward. I probably should just log the excess; I can afford it at this point, but I will see how it goes tomorrow. Planning to paddle SUP on Sunday. May do a yoga on SUP thing at a meetup.

We grilled out late afternoon, so I have had my 3 meals for today, a couple of snacks and still have almost 600 calories left to snack tonight. That's with the calories rolled forward from yesterday but also with logging about ~5700 steps out of ~10000 so far today and getting 335 extra calories from that. It will be interesting to see what tomorrow's weigh in is. I have room to bounce up and still come in under 160. I am suspicious that the last weigh in was a bounce low since it was a pound drop into uncharted territory in just two days.

I weighed 155 exactly. I’m now at my lowest weight since 2007. My scale says I’ve lost 9 pounds in two weeks and my doctors scale read 155 as well. I don’t feel sick. I just have been getting really full really fast. I think it’s just the heat.
Today I had a 16oz Coke that was 190 calories half a TV dinner for lunch that had 330 calories White Castle sliders for an afternoon snack that had 330 calories and for dinner I had the rest of the TV dinner which was about 400. Total it was about 1,280. |

My fitness watch says 9946 steps, which is odd because it said that earlier today when I said I was sure it would get over 10000. I think it disqualifies the short around the house stuff, because I am sure I have taken over 100 steps since then. Anyway, I logged about 5700 of them this morning.
1932 calories, which is not bad considering I had around 300 roll from last night. I am still thinking tomorrow morning will be a bump up in weight, but partially because of the drop last time; I don't think I am really down as low as it registered.

I have come back from a trip to San Diego. I did not count my calories, which I am sure is significant due to the snacks I brought on the trip. I did eat three McDonalds buscuits, a Taco Bell chalupa taco, three slices of Little Caesars pizza, and a PBJ sandwich for the entire trip, both Friday and Satirday. I ate for snacks a package of M&M peanut candy, four Almond Joy bars that came in a share sized package, and a pack of Starburst candy. I also ate a small package of these baked sugar twirly things. I also had two or three medium soda pops, a medium Chevron hot chocolate, a McDonalds medium chocolate shake. and a small can of Starbucks double espresso. So I guess I can still figure out an estimate of the calories. I will do this tomorrow, and now looking at the time, I mean later today. It does not sound too bad to me. For both days, I did walk around the beach allot. However, I did not record any of this exersize. Almost no effort was placed into my walking around. I also have walked much more than this on just one of my walks at home.
Just before the trip, my friggin watch froze. After trying to reset it to no success, I left it alone. When I came back to it, it started to work by resetting itself. This is one reason my watch did not count much of the calories burned that day on Friday. So I will skip that day of activity and focus on this Saturday and Sunday. I am kind of an@l about logging everything even if I put in a wild guess for calories, accepting some entry that looks kind of close as far as description The banana bread I entered the last couple of days was homemade and I just chose one that may or may not be real close.
I weigh 157.8 this morning, up a pound from 2 days ago. I am good with that. It was really too big of a drop. Staying below 160 seems a reasonable thing to try to do so that I have a 4 pound range of going over before I hit my scream weight of 164. So if I hit 160, I will adjust so I trend down but not frantically. If I hit 155, I will adjust up. If I get over 160, I will adjust a bit more drastically to get back below.

My weight is 183. Despite this being an increase of five pounds, I still think this is normal wiggle in weight. I am going to exersize today by either going up that hill, hopefully at a faster speed, or walking a four mile round trip having a restaurant as my destination. Since I have attained a peak heart beat rate of 177, this time I am going to keep it the 160s. A friend is concerned about this drive to reach higher numbers wanting for me to go to a doctor first. I am thinking about this since my next goal with regards to this is a peak heat rate of 180. However, I still want to keep my average heart rate in the 150s. I like that hill.

My watch says 9393 steps, but most were paddling, not walking. I paddled a little over 5 miles. Strava logged that as 791 fantasy calories. I edited back to 350.
1947 calories. I had to eat a lot tonight to keep from undereating; I want to stay in this range (high 150s).

I weighed 155.2 yesterday. I decided to have a cheat day after not having one for 8 days.
I ate half a rack of ribs and a burger. Along with an entire pint of ice cream. ![]() I don’t plan on weighing myself in the morning. I have no idea what my meal plan will be. I don’t have any meals except some ramen. I don’t really have any money to buy groceries until the weekend. Also the stores are going to be pretty crowded because of the holidays. Ideally I’d like a liverwurst sandwich and some pita bread. No idea what I’ll actually eat. |

Today is supposed to be a washout, so I got a good walk in early; over 8000 steps already. If the weather forecast is accurate, I may not make it to 10000 today. Trying the protein recovery approach; I am not sure how much good it really does but after the hard paddling last night I had over 50g of protein this morning. Supposedly the exercise tears down some of the muscle fibers and having lots of protein available helps them build back up more in recovery. May be bro-science.

I didn't weigh myself. I decided to have taco bell for lunch. I had 2 soft beef tacos chips and cheese and a skittles freeze. Total it was 740 calories. I had a couple cans of coke that had 140 calories each. Dinner is going to be a can of light soup around 140 calories.
Total it will be about 1,160 calories. I'm not moving around much today. I'm sure the low calories is fine. |

My weight is still 183. I walked over four miles. My legs have been hurting even before my walk. I think it is because of being in the car for eight hours last night coming back from San Diego. I still did the best I could. The first two miles was a cardio workout. The trip back was not as much. My only goal then was to keep my speed at 3.5 mph. I did run twice for a brief smount of time.

I made it to 10000 steps because of shopping. Target does not sell 30" belts. That's larger that a boys' XL and the smallest in men's was a M 32-36 and the hooks were full; I don't think they stock S. I didn't want to buy a 32-36 that only fit sort of okay on the last hole. What an awful problem to have.

Right now I must say my legs are really aching and have been aching before my exersize today. However, I still took my fast walk for over four miles. My performance stats are poor compared to past days, however, I was not able to do better. Hopefully, my legs will be better prepared for tomorrow’s exersize.
I have taken 9,549 steps today. I have walked 4.15 miles burning about 430 calories. This makes for a calorie target of about 2,520 calories. I have consumed 2405 calories. This makes me 115 calories short. This was my actual goal to make up for the excesses of my recent past. I may reduce by a percentage of what my watch states as total calories burned due to exersize. Perhaps I will start with a 20% reduction since that scientific study of various fitness watches showed the best to be at least 20% off and most being much more than that. I want my weight down to just below 180. This is where my new clothes will fit me the best. I will get a handle on this. |

158.2 this morning. Only a 0.4 bump from 2 days ago so I am not too worried about it being a trend but I am going to limit calories I accept from exercise the next couple of days. I am pretty sure it has been over a week, maybe 10 days, since I have seen 160+ so I think I can say I am officially below 160. Even if I were to hit it again, it would probably be a spike. It's my new "take action"weight. 164 is my "scream weight". I will try to stay above 154. So, I am truly in maintenance now, not trying to lose or gain, though I may make micro adjustments to slowly trend one way or the other.

My weight is 180 now. Much better. I am going to lose a couple pounds to give me a margin. I am going to skip my regular exercise for the next one or two days. My legs are in bad shape. I can always walk around the townhome complex for a couple miles at a slower pace without pushing myself at all. I am going to keep my target calories at about 2090, but still exersize every day once my legs are better. I will need to find more filling foods. I read that protein rich foods can do this. For now I will have to forego calorie expensive foods like apple pie.

I haven’t weighed myself since Sunday. I can’t weigh myself until Thursday.
I woke up at 5 and I got a vanilla bean coolata from Dunkin Donuts. It had 420 calories. I didn’t eat the ice and I don’t know if that has calories or not. I had a TV dinner at 1 that had 230 calories. I had a medium regular coke from McDonald’s that had 220 calories. I had a ritz handi snack at 3:30 that had 100 calories, and for dinner I had a salad that had 250 calories. Total it was 1,220 calories but maybe less because of the ice in the drink. I don’t know what’s going on. All I want is regular coke. I went 30 hours with barely eating anything. I don’t have a problem I’m just not hungry. |
