Half hour on the elliptical. I dragged my heels, not because I was poorly, but just because my weekend has started, and I'm being a punk about working out.

I was feeling very unwell this morning, mostly mentally, and called in sick to work.

Today's workout for Day 15 of the program was supposed to be a lower body HIIT workout and I didn't feel up to that, so I did a 63 minute long pilates routine from FitnessBlender instead. Definitely low impact but it was challenging as well. I feel a bit better than this morning - hopefully I feel even better tomorrow.

Standard half-hour workout, followed by my Saturday cleaning routine. These last few Saturdays I've been getting ready for a yard sale, which means hauling lots of heavy boxes in hot weather. Good workout, albeit sweaty and uncomfortable, and filled with empty promises made to myself never to accumulate so much junk again.

Early this afternoon I did the main workout for Day 16 of FBSweat, which was a 31 minute upper body routine with weights. Some of the moves I had never done before and it got me sore in places I didn't know existed.

This evening I just completed the extra credit workout for Day 16 which was a 24 minute cardio routine that was good and not too overwhelming. I finished that off with a 26 minute stretching routine I really enjoy to hopefully lessen muscle soreness tomorrow. Plus stretching before bed is always relaxing.

Late this morning I did the main workout of Day 17 of FBSweat, which was a brutal lower body workout with various types of squats and deadlifts. I had sweat in my eyes by the end, but it was an awesome challenge. 38 minutes total.

This evening I just finished the extra credit routine of the day which was an 11 minute long pilates/barre routine. Including a warm up and cool down it was 29 minutes total. This extra credit workout was not nearly as challenging as the first routine, but it did challenge me in a unique way. By the end I was breaking a small sweat.

Late this morning I did the main workout of Day 18 of FBSweat, which was a good upper body/cardio routine that I've done before and enjoy. It's a good combination of weight lifting and lighter cardio, and got a light sweat going. 34 minutes total. I opted to not do the extra credit workout today.

This evening I just finished a 27 minute stretching routine that I enjoy, my lower body muscles definitely needed it. My hamstrings are quite sore from yesterday's workout, so tomorrow before work I'll do a lighter cardio routine rather than the brutal lower body workout on the schedule. I may do it after work, depending on how I feel, but if I'm still sore I may just do a stretching routine or a lighter lower body routine.

Back to work tomorrow after 5 days off. Hopefully some morning cardio will pump me up a bit.

Just finished the 26 minute long low impact cardio routine that I really like. Got the muscles warm and I definitely feel more awake. I'll post the link to it in case I haven't before, it's a great workout for beginners and a great recovery workout for non-beginners. No equipment required, the moves are all straight forward and it's not boring!

26 minute long low impact workout:

I'll post later after work how my step count was and also whether or not I decide to do a second workout.

I got over 16k steps total today, not shabby at all.

I also had enough energy to do the main workout of Day 19 of FBSweat, which was a lower body HIIT/weight lifting routine. 33 minutes total and it definitely broke a sweat. And I definitely had to modify some of the harder moves (star jumps kill me!). Hopefully I'm not too sore for work tomorrow. I may begin the morning with an active stretching routine or an easy cardio workout like I did this morning. Helps to wake up but not feel too tired out.

Just finished the 26 minute cardio recovery workout I enjoy doing to wake me up this morning. Even broke a very light sweat.

Day 20 of FBSweat is a fluid stretching routine that I look forward to doing this evening after work. I'll post my step count later as well as how the stretching routine went.

Got over 14k steps today.

Also just finished Day 20 of the FBSweat Program, the fluid stretching routine. It's actually part of a 3 day flexibility challenge that they put up for free, today's workout was Day 1 of the challenge. It was very nice and relaxing! It helped make my muscles feel less tense for sure. 31 minutes total.

Tomorrow will be a rest day but I may do something light like Day 2 of the Flexibility Challenge, or some walking.

I love all the links you include-- this is a good thread to remember when I need a workout video

Went to the gym last night and did my weightlifting routine.

Ditto on the links! Much appreciated. More often than not I'm over 10.000 steps per day or pretty darn close.

Today was a rest day but I still got a bit of activity in.

I had to run an errand that required about 50 minutes of walking. It was enjoyable though, and the weather wasn't too hot.

I also just finished a FitnessBlender stretching routine that I enjoy that focuses on static stretches. 31 minutes total including the warm up I did.

Just finished the main workout of Day 22 of FBSweat - a lower body workout with weights, AND sets of 5 jump squats in between each exercise. Doesn't sound like much but it adds up. 27 minutes total.

I may do the extra credit workout after work if I feel up to it, but I also might do something less intense like a light cardio workout + a stretching routine. We'll see how I feel. I'll post my step count later tonight and whether or not I decided to do a second workout.

I got back to the gym and did my half-hour. I'm being an intolerable grump today , but at least I can't beat myself up over missing another exercise session.

I ended up getting around 13k steps today. A lower number than usual for me on a work day but I'll take it. I treated myself to a cab ride home so that lessened the step count a bit.

Also just finished the extra credit workout for today. 26 minutes total including a warm up and cool down. It was quite the intense HIIT workout and I was pleasantly surprised at how well I kept up for the most part. My cardiovascular health has definitely improved since beginning to exercise regularly, and it's nice to see the effort pay off. I'll post the link to the HIIT routine in case anyone is interested in a challenge - no equipment necessary and it's rated 4/5 on the difficulty scale that FitnessBlender has.

Just a little warning: You'll want to do your own warm up and cool down with this, and it is NOT for beginners!

I won't be getting too many steps since I have the weekend off but I'm definitely still working out!

Just finished Day 23 of FBSweat, including the main workout which was an upper body kickboxing and weight lifting workout, and the extra credit workout which was a 10 minute abs routine. 43 minutes total and I actually really enjoyed both workouts. It was nice to give the legs a break.

I may do a lighter cardio routine this evening or maybe just a stretching workout.

Stepped up the routine a bit today. No post-workout anxiety this time, despite the higher heart rate. I watched tennis while I worked out. I would love to get back into tennis some day. Perhaps an incentive to keep this up.

Ended up doing that 26 minute long low impact cardio routine that I enjoy. Even broke a small sweat! I am hoping this doesn't make me stay awake too long though, exercise tends to give me energy. Maybe not the best before bed routine but I like it a lot.

Today has been an off day for me mentally, but I did push myself to do a workout. I wasn't feeling up to the intense hiit workout the program had planned, and did a nice pilates routine instead. It definitely got my lower body sore and I got a small sweat going. 38 minutes total including the warm up.

Tomorrow's program actually calls for the 26 minute low impact cardio workout I enjoy so I look forward to doing that tomorrow morning before work.

Another workout completed. Last year I had become somewhat dependent on exercise, and I felt off if I missed it. I'm not quite there yet, but I do sort of slightly look forward to the daily routine again.

Finished the 26 minute Low Impact workout from FitnessBlender, it really makes a good morning workout.

I'll post my step count and whether or not I did the extra credit stretching workout this evening. Today is also the last official day of this 4 week program so I need to decide if I want to continue with another program or just create my own routine from the several hundred free workouts available out there. We shall see!

Had a little bit of a downer day, but managed a light workout session at least.
