Had a coupon for a free bang bang shrimp at bone fish grill for my birthday.
Went there for dinner tonight as we also had gift certificates from christmas.
Jeff had scallops and I had the lily's chicken dish, artichoke hearts, basil, spinach, goat cheese. A big side of spinach and brocolli. yum!
took home half for another meal. What a deal! only had one piece of bread and ate between my 8 hour window too. Now am drinking hot tea.
Chai rooibos by yogi. It is cinnamon flavored.
This intermitant fasting is easy.

I binged yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks. It started with a five dollar lunch deal from Dairy Queen and just went downhill from there I gained .5 pound but I’m going to weigh again tomorrow because I also drank a lot last night and I’m usually bloated the day after drinking. But I’m disappointed in myself. I did so well for the whole week but then lost it on Saturday. Only thing I can do is try, try again.

I've Been eating the same as before but now I'm stuck. Scale won't move. I eat healthy and move around a lot, so should I change something or just be patient?

99fairies - patience is the answer.

I went out to eat last night, so there was some guess work on calories, but I think I did okay. I had shrimp in hot sauce that didn't have an oily sheen; I think they were basically boiled with spices. Some guac on a side salad. A piece of apple pie for dessert back at my dad's house. I am not too worried about it. So far today, everything has been accurately trackable. I might have another turkey smoked sausage for dinner and have water weight in the morning. I am tempted to go light and come in under because I want to see a weight in the 160s, but I will stay the course and try to get near goal. I will get down to my target before long.

I did take a nap and got up and ate half an avocado, half bag of popcorn and a chocolate yogurt and a cup of left over butternut squash soup.
Afterwards we watched this sweet movie about "good bye christopher robin"
about the writer of the winnie the pooh books and his son.

It will go down to 41 tonight.
I finally got warm taking my nap.
I never nap!
It felt all snuggly in the bed fully clothed with this big furry sweater and wool socks on.

172.6 this morning, which is a little disappointing but not surprising since I had around 2,000 mg of sodium yesterday. 4 days ago, I was 170.4, but I think I was dehydrated. 2 days ago I was 172.4 (I think) and it was also after a high sodium day (nearly 3,000 mg). Staying close enough to goal each day that I know it is just jitter, but it is still annoying.

My weight is 180. Yesterday was 178. Normal jitter? I have been eating chocolate lava cake that I made a couple days ago. Maybe that will put some weight on me. I did not eat much food yesterday. I just was not hungry enough.

The scale would not move for 5 days and then this morning it showed that I lost 3 pounds!
My weight is 143, my goal is 130. I'm getting there!
The tricky part is going to maintain my goal. I don't know how to maintain a weight.

I think losing the last few pounds slowly is the best way to approach maintenance. Eating fairly normal meals that don't quite total to enough calories so that when you reach goal you don't have to learn an entirely different way to eat. You just make some adjustments to how you have been eating. In the past, I have lost a lot of weight fairly quickly and was still in full on restricted diet mode when I hit goal. Then I tried to start eating like I had been before, but watching portions and not bingeing. When I started gaining again, I figured I would give myself a range and just go into diet mode again when I hit the top of the range, but I would let it slip. I only knew two ways to eat - to excess or practically starving myself. I did not know where between those extremes my daily burn was. This time I have a pretty good idea. I will keep tracking calories and watching the scale. I hope to be able to stop tracking every day before too long, but I definitely won't push to make it happen right away.

I am less than 10 pounds from goal. There are no smaller clothes to fit into; it is mostly for the sense of accomplishment that I keep going. Besides, I am making BMI < 25 my line in the sand. Anyway, there isn't a reason to rush now. I am being successful at losing slowly.

@UpDownAround

I think you are offering good device.

Recently, I started to eat without tracking calories. I do not want to go back to my own eating habits. My calorie intake went up significantly while doing this. So I need to go back on tract and once again begin to count calories. I need to do this in order to become comfortable with the meals that I choose to make while maintaining my weight. Hopefully, I will know what works, and then try days without counting every calorie. If I cannot be successful doing this, I may need to count calories into the foreseeable future. One lesson I have learned is to watch the desserts. No unhealthy snacks. Make one meal the most significant of the day.

I heard that eating small portions throughout the day, perhaps four or five small meals, is a healthy way to go. However, I do not know what each small meal should be. Salads? Cheese and crackers? Some fruit? I do not know.

I allowed myself to have sweet tea and a piece of pie on Saturdays. Although, I'm stuck at 192 lbs now. Not sure if that's why. Still, the lightest I've been in many years. I can actually run now.

Another thing that has been helpful for me is weighing things to eat what is a serving size according to the package. 66 grams of ice cream is not a lot; I shudder to think of how many "servings" I used to eat. I try to guess how much a piece of chicken or turkey is before weighing it so that I am better at estimating when I eat out and don't weigh it.

I like the intermittent fasting. Look it up.
Eat healthy with in an 8 hour time window. Then fast for 16 hours with only water coffee or tea unsweetened.
I ate a healthy lunch at noon
hamburger(no bun), turnips, collards, cauliflower.
Dinner: half a small supreme pizza
1 little bag of dehydrated peaches
drinking herbal tea and not hungry for snacking in the least.
This is an easy way to eat because I was never a breakfast eater.
Snacking has always been a down fall.
So now I drink herbal tea after 8pm like right now.
This burns fat!

I only ate 600 calories yesterday and the scale says I gained 5 pounds. How is that even possible?

I just found this thread.

‘Diet’ as in ‘what I eat’?

All of my meals are canned, frozen or pre-packaged (and explicitly not for sale as individual packets).

I do use my stovetop for boiling pasta. And water. I boil a lot of water.

Those $2.50 Marie Callendar frozen meals, from 320 to 500 calories per meal, are delicious. When I have money, I buy the fudge Pop-Tarts for breakfast. A canned good for lunch, cauliflower and Cheez-Whiz for a snack, and the aforementioned frozen meal for dinner.

Now, being overdrawn at my bank, I’ve been on a crash-diet of instant oatmeal made with water and more pots of tea than I can count.

I run a BYOF establishment.

How much water did you drink? 5 pounds a day is a lot; that would be 10 cups of water. But it almost has to be water. To gain 5 pounds of fat would require you to eat 17,500 more calories than you burn.

Haven't been eating all that healthy. Gained a few lbs back. Got tired of eating healthy and now that I know what I can and can't eat, it's easier to find food. I do feel happier though. lol. But I'm so bloated. Maybe I should try some activated charcoal.

Intermittent fasting works for me.
I eat with an 8 hour window. Then fast for 16 hours over night. so basically skip breakfast then eat lunch and dinner and snack if I need/want one before 8pm. Then no snacking bed by 11;30. So it works perfectly for me.
Trying to eat as healthy as possible and not over eating.
no calorie counting no carb counting....it works best for me and is working!
Hubby is trying it too. day 2 for him.
I weigh 170.3, almost lowest weight since august.
bizi
I am very happy headed in the right direction.

I weighed 171.0 this morning, which is lower than the last couple of times, but not quite as low as 6 days ago (pretty sure I was dehydrated that morning). More boring reports the last few days, though one thing I have done recently is add a fair amount of oatmeal and/or whole grain bread in the mix and cut back on saturated fat. Trying to get my LDL down from 116 to below 100.
